About Lawhive

Our mission is to make the law accessible to everyone.

The legal industry is built on technology and processes that haven’t been updated in hundreds of years - that's why we've reinvented the entire model from the ground up with our own bespoke AI operating system at the core.

Lawhive is a regulated law firm with an AI-native platform built to amplify expertise and revolutionise the way people practice law, leading to exceptional outcomes for clients and lawyers.

Lawhive Labs is how we bring this vision to life. It's our frontier lab that combines top engineering, design, AI and legal talent from around the world, joining forces to build the future of law.

We’re backed by top-tier investors, including Google Ventures, Balderton Capital and TQ Ventures, and in December 2025, we secured $60M Series B funding round to facilitate international expansion and to grow our team.

We’re headquartered in London and in 2025 successfully launched in the US…and we’re just getting started.

Marketing at Lawhive

The Marketing team is a small but fast-growing team operating at the heart of Lawhive. We're building a category-defining brand at the intersection of technology, law and AI, helping millions of people access legal support in a faster, more affordable and transparent way.

As we enter our next phase of growth following our Series B and as we expand across the US, we're investing heavily in brand, communications and thought leadership. This is a unique opportunity to shape the public narrative around one of Europe's fastest-growing AI businesses and establish Lawhive as the defining voice in the future of legal services globally.

The Role

We're looking for our first Head of Communications to build and lead Lawhive's Communications function during a pivotal stage of growth.

Working closely with our Founders, the broader Marketing team, Product, Legal and Engineering/AI teams, you'll develop and execute a communications strategy that elevates our brand, builds trust with customers and lawyers, and positions Lawhive as a category leader across legal tech and AI.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role. One day you might be shaping a company announcement, briefing journalists or securing top-tier media coverage; the next, you'll be developing thought leadership campaigns, preparing executives for speaking opportunities, or managing communications around product launches and industry developments.

You'll have the opportunity to define our voice, tell our story at scale and build relationships with key media, industry and policy stakeholders as we expand internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and own Lawhive's overall communications and PR strategy

  • Build and execute proactive media relations programmes that increase awareness of Lawhive and our mission

  • Establish Lawhive's founders and leadership team as leading voices in AI, legal innovation and the future of professional services

  • Generate high-impact coverage across national, business, technology and legal media

  • Lead communications around major company milestones, funding announcements, product launches and strategic initiatives

  • Create compelling narratives and messaging that resonate with customers, lawyers, investors and industry stakeholders

  • Manage relationships with journalists, editors, producers and industry influencers

  • Develop executive communications, including speeches, opinion pieces, interviews and keynote opportunities

  • Partner closely with the Brand, Content and Growth teams to amplify campaigns and maximise earned media opportunities

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging issues to identify communications opportunities and risks

  • Build reporting frameworks to measure communications impact and influence on brand awareness and business outcomes

  • Help establish communications processes, tools and potentially build out the function as the company scales

What You'll Bring

You'll be a great fit for this role if you're excited by the challenge of helping define an entirely new category and thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments.

You're a natural storyteller who can translate complex ideas into compelling narratives, and you're equally comfortable developing long-term communications strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about Lawhive's mission and excited by the opportunity to shape public understanding of how AI can transform access to legal services.

Experience

  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills

  • Experience working directly with senior executives and founders on external communications

  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and how to build effective journalist relationships

  • Ability to develop compelling thought leadership programmes and executive profiles

  • Experience managing complex communications projects across multiple stakeholders

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Data-driven approach to measuring communications performance and impact

Nice to Have
  • Experience in AI, legal technology, fintech or regulated industries

  • Experience supporting international expansion or multi-market communications strategies

  • Existing relationships with technology, business or legal journalists

  • Experience managing agencies and external communications partners

  • Exposure to public affairs, policy or regulatory communications

  • Introductory call with our Talent team

  • 1:1 with the CEO/Co-Founder

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
