C2C drives the eBay marketplace, enabling our strategy to reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts. Our C2C sellers bring rare, remarkable, and distinctive items to the platform, strengthening eBay’s wide selection. Since the launch of free selling in the UK in 2024, our C2C business has grown consistently, generating positive momentum in GMV and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a Head of UK C2C to continue to drive growth in our UK C2C business and develop our proposition to meet the needs of customers, in collaboration with global product and marketing colleagues.

You will be accountable for business results and customer satisfaction in this role. Additionally, you will set strategic priorities for the UK market and ensure they are delivered in line with the needs of the customer and business.

You will gain an in-depth knowledge of our customers and their needs. In order to guide you in building a roadmap of strategic priorities. You will partner with global product and marketing teams to impact their plans and priorities.

What you will accomplish...
  • Become a C2C selling expert: Partner with insight, finance, and analytics departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of our customer needs, market insights, and business performance dynamics

  • Synthesize these insights into strategic recommendations on how eBay can improve the UK C2C customer experience - gaps, opportunities, and customer problems

  • Advocate and influence collaborators to ensure the UK’s priorities are incorporated within global product and marketing roadmaps

  • Programme manage the execution of workstreams or activations driven by the UK business unit, playing a lead or supporting role as appropriate

  • Keep partners aware of progress and emerging problems and opportunities within the UK market to create accountability and ensure that solutions fit the UK C2C customer’s requirements.

  • Coordinate with peers in product and marketing to formulate customer communication plans and go-to-market strategies, ensuring they are adapted for the UK C2C customer

  • Gather feedback from customers through various channels and forums to measure the proposition's success. Develop findings to inform the roadmap for future launches.

What you will bring...
  • Experience in multiple strategy development and/or consulting-style roles in complex, fast-paced, cross-functional, organizations

  • Self-starter with a proven history of crafting strategy, handling dependencies, persuading executive-level leaders, and encouraging ownership across cross-functional teams

  • Critical thinking skills, encompassing the capacity to offer insights that guide business planning initiatives, establish cross-functional frameworks for success, and construct cases for investment

  • Strong analytical abilities, a demonstrated record of turning insights into actionable strategic plans, and experience in creative problem-solving on a large scale

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with skill in clearly explaining complex problems to executives. Able to quantify issues and their impact. Develops carefully considered resource requests and possible solutions

  • A dynamic, proactive approach and an ability to develop clarity from ambiguity. 

  • Experience managing many senior collaborators from different functions globally, with the ability to influence and align diverse global teams
