What impact you’ll make:
The Heavy Duty Gas Turbine New Units (“HDGT NU”) FP&A Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for daily management activities, continuous improvement of the HDGT NU FP&A commercial activities, processes, and key KPI, including Orders, Strategic Reservation Agreements (SRAs), Revenue Performance Obligation (RPO), Adjusted RPO, and Cash.
In this role, you will provide finance and cross-functional leadership to the HDGT NU finance, commercial and sales (ITO) organizations to help drive orders, SRAs and cash for the Gas Power HDGT NU business. This role will report to the HDGT NU FP&A Leader and will also partner closely with the HDGT NU Global Commercial Finance Leader.
What you’ll do
As the HDGT NU FP&A Commercial Finance Analyst, you will:
- Support the HDGT NU FP&A Leader and HDGT NU Global Commercial Finance Leader by leading the HDGT NU business in critical FP&A activities including, but not limited to:
- Major planning cycles: Budget, Strategy, Long Range Forecast, Early Reads
- In quarter pacing/forecasting/Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR)
- Performance management & external reporting, including Investor Relations, for key commercial KPI including RPO and Adjusted RPO, among others
- Driving analytics and operational improvements in operating performance across the business
- Lead HDGT NU FP&A team, and form a close relationship with commercial and poles’ sales teams, to meet commercial operating KPI and key financial targets, including (orders, reservation agreements, adjusted RPO, ITO billings and collections
- Help lead simplification initiatives for HDGT NU commercial activities, utilizing lean principles and problem-solving methods to drive efficiency and automation (e.g., RPO & “Live LRF” digitization)
- Prepare and support presentations (Budget, Long Range Forecasts, Long Term Strategy, and Monthly Operating Reviews) required to communicate HDGT NU commercial priorities and progress towards strategic, operational, and financial objectives to HDGT NU and Gas Power leadership
- Maintain systems & processes for analyzing and reporting operating results to management, including partnering with IT to drive system automation and process optimization when needed
- Lead the pursuit of excellence in controllership (e.g., adherence to GE policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.)
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Minimum significant experience of Finance
- Previous experience in a Gas Power Business
