This role is responsible for architecting and leading the delivery of Workday Core HCM solutions. You will work directly with our customers and stakeholders who will be at various levels and from multiple areas of their business. You will be expected to understand their business requirements, provide recommendations and advice, tailor the Workday HCM system to meet those needs and fit into end to processes, and ensure smooth adoption of best practices during their implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday HCM solutions. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance HR processes, data accuracy, and overall system efficiency for the customer. Projects you work on may be in the Advisory, Delivery, Optimization or AMS service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Use expertise, presentation and guidance skills to plan and lead requirement gathering workshops.
- Understand customer requirements, translating them into Workday solutions and providing associated time estimates.
- Proactively raise potential challenges based on experience & knowledge.
- Independently setup and configure Workday Core HCM and Core Compensation modules based on customer needs and good practice.
- Perform tenant reviews and lead workshops for live customers who are looking to extend and/or optimise their Workday HCM product.
- Assist, support and provide direction and mentoring to junior resources and provide review and QA of work.
- Proactively link with other workstreams (other functional areas, data, integrations, change etc.) on projects to ensure cross functional touchpoints are understood and planned in.
- Create and present proposals to resolve problems that arise using experience, research and analysis.
- Ensure that the testing of developed solutions has been completed and troubleshooting any issues.
- Plan, orchestrate and lead the build and migration of configuration.
- Ensure high standards of configuration are consistently deployed across workstreams on your projects
- Confirm the successful migration of configuration & data related to the delivered solution and ensure all associated documentation is completed to a high level of quality.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and manage timelines to ensure strong relationships and successful project delivery.
- Contribute to practice building to build out and improve our CloudRock methods and tools in the Core HCM area.
- Contribute to sales activities when required and lead on scoping and estimating Core HCM areas of work.
- Support more complex tickets for our live customers.
- Any other duties which may reasonably be assigned from time to time.
Necessary Experience
- Workday Core HCM Certified with 6+ years of Workday HCM configuration experience and involvement with 4+ Workday customers.
- Workday implementer certified, with recent Workday implementer experience and a deep understanding of the Workday methodology and customer-side deliverables.
- Experience planning and leading customer facing workshops.
- Experience configuring at least one other Workday module in addition to Core HCM & Core Compensation.
- Experience in Workday security design and configuration.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Implementing Workday for global companies.
- Experience with a Workday Services Partner.
- Degree in a technical, business or other relevant field of study.
- Working as an HR Professional.
- Supporting / mentoring team members.
- Project management experience.
