Owns revenue operations across marketing, partnerships, sales, outbound, and renewals. The role defines the commercial data model, funnel stages, forecasting methodology, pipeline attribution, renewal and upsell tracking, and cross-functional revenue processes. It also leads ad hoc RevOps initiatives, partners with senior stakeholders, builds dashboards and analysis, and manages a small analyst team as a hands-on player-coach.

At Zinc, we're rapidly technologising how we serve candidates, recruiters, and customers, without eroding what makes our service genuinely good. Core Ops is the team making sure the business runs on real, trustworthy data and process, and this role owns the commercial and revenue portion of that: everywhere revenue touches process, from marketing and partnerships through to sales, outbound, and renewals.
You'll report directly to the Head of Operations, and partner with the commercial leaders throughout the business. Day to day, you will work closely with the other operations leads and key stakeholders across the business. Right now, the team's first big mandate is getting one clean, consistent definition of the commercial funnel across every channel, but that's one project among several you'll pick up as the data shows where the next one is.
You'll run a small analyst team from day one as a player-coach, hands-on yourself, not just reviewing other people's work, and grow the team as we expand and it's seen as necessary.
We're open to diverse backgrounds that bring transferable skills to this role, but expect the ideal candidate to come from one of the following:
  • RevOps Manager/Lead
  • Sales Ops or Marketing Ops Lead ready to own the full commercial funnel
  • GTM-focused Business Ops / Strategy & Ops

Key Responsibilities 🗝️
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, and Outbound to align on goals, metrics, and revenue strategy.
  • Own the commercial data model, pipeline, and forecasting, one consistent definition of a lead, opportunity, and renewal-risk account across every channel, backed by real stage definitions and forecast methodology.
  • Own the renewals, upsell, and partner/outbound pipeline, risk flagging, the CS-to-sales handoff, and pipeline tracking and attribution.
  • Lead ad hoc RevOps initiatives and special projects as they come up, partnering with the Head of Ops and other Heads of.
  • Run a small analyst team as a player-coach, growing it as the team expands and it's seen as necessary.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 🚀
  • Revenue operations experience: a track record running ops for a revenue function (sales, marketing, or RevOps) at a similar-stage company
  • CRM fluency (we use HubSpot): comfortable specifying and holding the line on what "clean" data looks like
  • BI/reporting fluency (we use Sigma): comfortable building your own dashboards and analysis on clean data
  • People management: has managed at least one direct report, or is clearly ready to
  • Influential communicator: works and communicates well with Heads of and senior stakeholders, and can get things prioritised without needing formal authority over everyone involved
  • Comfortable being hands-on: this is a player-coach role in year one, not a pure people-manager seat
  • Structured under ambiguity: can take a messy commercial process and turn it into a clear, ownable system
