What's the role?

The Team

GTM Finance sits at the intersection of Finance, Sales, and Strategy. GTM Finance owns the top line of the company. Revenue, billings (invoicing), and bookings.

We're looking to move the team beyond Excel toward faster, more automated, and more insight-driven workflows. There's a real opportunity to use AI and automation to deliver tangible, usable outputs within our existing tools and processes. Simplified workflows, standardised templates, reusable assets and to prove their value through pilot use cases.

The ambition is simple: spend less time building numbers, and more time explaining them to Sales, Finance leadership, and the CCO organisation.

What is the role

You'll partner with the GTM Finance team to identify manual, repetitive workflows and rebuild them with AI and automation. The exact projects will take shape once you're in and have mapped what the team does day-to-day, but concrete starting points discussed in the role kickoff include:

  • Contract-to-bookings automation: building an agent that reads a signed contract (SOP date, volumes, pricing, products) and pulls the key components into a structured long-term revenue (LTR) calculation, instead of the team doing it manually.
  • From data to narrative: building tools that take forecast, bookings, or billings data and generate clean PowerPoint outputs and written narratives, so we can focus on explaining the numbers rather than rebuilding them.
  • Workflow mapping & quick wins: looking across bookings, billings, forecasting, and revaluation processes, mapping where time is being lost, and prototyping AI- or automation-based solutions where they make sense.
  • Billings & EDI analysis: turning the daily flow of data into automated trend views, with anomaly detection

You won't be expected to know our processes on day one, our the team will walk you through them. What we need is someone who, once they understand a workflow, can spot where AI or automation fits and actually build it.

Who are you?

We're more interested in mindset and skillset combination than in a specific degree label. Two profiles fit equally well:

  • A Master's student (Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, AI, or similar) with strong analytical thinking and a real affinity for AI, automation, and modern tooling. Not just prompting, but building agents and lightweight applications.
  • An MBA candidate with strong analytical thinking who is genuinely hands-on with AI and automation (not only strategic / high-level).
  • In either case, what matters is the combination of AI / automation skills first, with strong financial and commercial intuition second and not the other way around. You don't need to be a hardcore data scientist; the technology we need isn't extraordinarily complex. You do need to understand how a business runs.

    You:

    • Are available per July/Augsust full‑time for a period of 8–12 weeks (MBA) or somewhat longer for Master’s students if needed, depending on your academic program.
    • Are based in, or able to be based in, the Amsterdam area, and can be 2–3 days per week from our Amsterdam office to engage closely with stakeholders
    • Are eligible to undertake an internship in the Netherlands (including any required visa and/or university sponsorship arrangements).

    What do you bring:

    • AI fluency that goes beyond prompting. Comfortable building agents that scan workflows, structure unstructured data, or automate steps. Bonus if you've built lightweight applications, or worked seriously with Copilot, Claude, or similar in a real project (not just essays).
    • Comfort with data tooling. Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent. You can take messy data and make it visual, structured, and useful.
    • Business and commercial antennae. You've already worked inside a company, on a customer-facing project, or on something tangible like strategic pricing, market analysis, customer data, or a similar real-world problem.
    • A proactive, hands‑on mindset with ownership of deliverables and the ability to drive a project from scoping through to tested recommendations
