native has been building for 10 years, but we're still very much a startup: fast-moving, ambitious, and building with intent. We're creating the infrastructure that connects students, Students’ Unions, universities, and advertisers through a managed marketplace.

Our goal is to deliver for students by increasing student engagement while enabling Students’ Unions to secure sustainable funding. For advertisers, we offer meaningful, measurable routes to student audiences. The more aligned these incentives are, the more defensible and scalable our business becomes.

The Opportunity

The Growth Sales Manager plays a key role in scaling native’s commercial performance by owning revenue growth across a defined advertiser category.

As part of native’s category-led sales model, you will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within your category (for example: Retail, FMCG, Tech, Finance, Lifestyle). You’ll develop a deep understanding of your category’s advertisers, buying behaviours, and success metrics, using this expertise to win new business and deliver consistently strong outcomes.

This role blends new business, and commercial execution. You’ll focus on building repeatable revenue through insight-led selling, strong relationships, and close collaboration with SDRs, Client Success, Campaign Delivery, and Marketing.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Owning and growing revenue across a defined advertiser category, with clear accountability for performance and outcomes

  • Becoming a trusted category expert, building deep insight into advertiser needs, buying cycles, and market trends

  • Identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities within your category

  • Developing tailored, category-informed proposals aligned to client objectives and student audiences

  • Partnering closely with SDRs to shape pipeline strategy and prioritise high-quality opportunities

  • Acting as the internal go-to for category insight, sharing learnings with Client Success, Marketing, and the wider sales team

  • Working with Campaign Delivery to ensure smooth handovers and strong campaign execution

  • Accurately managing pipeline, forecasting, and reporting via Salesforce

  • Continuously refining category propositions based on performance data and client feedback

You Should have
  • You have a proven track record of hitting revenue targets in a B2B, media, or solutions-led sales role

  • You enjoy developing expertise and credibility within a defined market or category

  • You’re confident selling to Marketing Managers and Directors and influencing senior stakeholders

  • You’re commercially sharp, organised, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities in parallel

  • You value long-term client partnerships over one-off wins

  • You thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments where you help shape how things work

Additional Skills & Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Media sales, advertising, or event-led partnerships experience

  • Experience selling to consumer brands with a Gen Z or youth audience focus

  • Exposure to category-led, verticalised, or pod-based sales models

  • Experience collaborating with or mentoring SDRs or junior sales talent

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM tools and sales reporting
