Location: London (3 days a week in-office)About Gendo

Gendo is a revolutionary, browser-based AI platform designed specifically for architects and designers. Our technology enables users to generate accurate, high-quality visual representations of their designs in seconds rather than days. After a successful beta with leading firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Benoy, KPF, and David Chipperfield Architects, we have recently raised over £4.3 million in seed funding and are now rapidly scaling.

We are looking for a data-driven Growth Marketing Manager to own user acquisition, activation, and retention. This role is perfect for someone with a quantitative mindset, who thrives on experimentation, tracking key metrics, and iterating based on real-time performance data. If you love optimising funnels, growth loops, and marketing spend, while working closely with product and data teams, this role is for you.

What we value

At Gendo, design is at the core of our mission— both in the design of our products and also through its power to elevate creative expression, pushing the boundaries of architectural possibilities.

Driven by the power of collaboration, we have refined our technology in partnership with renowned firms and of course within the Gendo team itself.

We take an exploratory approach to work, continuously innovating and seeking new ways to enhance the design process for our users.

Our ambition is big, we’re building a passionate, dedicated, world class team to transform the future of architecture and design, making cutting-edge tools accessible and enabling users to bring their boldest ideas to life with speed and precision.

Role Overview

As Growth Marketing Manager at Gendo, you will drive scalable, measurable growth through a combination of paid and organic marketing strategies, conversion optimisation, and data-driven experimentation. Your focus will be on increasing trial-to-subscriber conversion rates, optimising acquisition channels, and implementing and iterating on retention tactics.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Content teams to ensure that growth initiatives are integrated into the user journey and aligned with business goals.

This role is ideal for a marketer who enjoys running experiments, diving into analytics, and using a test-and-learn approach to scale a SaaS product efficiently.

How This Role Differs from a Traditional Marketing Role

This is not a traditional marketing role focused solely on brand awareness and lead generation. Instead, it’s a full-stack growth role that requires a data-driven, experimental mindset, working at the intersection of marketing, product, and data science to drive measurable, scalable growth.

If you thrive on data, experimentation, creative approaches and impact, we’d love to hear from you. 🚀

Key Responsibilities

1. Data-Driven Growth Strategy & Funnel Optimisation

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy to increase user acquisition and improve trial-to-subscription conversion rates.

  • Map and optimise the marketing funnel, identifying and resolving drop-off points with structured A/B tests.

  • Work with Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to define and track key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), Churn Rate, and Activation Rate.

  • Build a data-first growth dashboard, ensuring all experiments and campaigns are measurable.

2. Performance Marketing & Paid Acquisition

  • Manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta) to drive high-intent users to Gendo.

  • Use multi-touch attribution models to measure the effectiveness of paid and organic channels.

  • Continuously A/B test ad creatives, copy, and landing pages to improve conversion rates.

  • Track Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) vs. Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) to ensure sustainable growth.

  • Develop strategies to target customers through novel and targeted channels.

3. Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) & Experimentation

  • Run structured A/B tests and multivariate experiments across landing pages, sign-up flows, and onboarding sequences.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to test user experience (UX) changes that could improve activation and retention.

  • Use cohort analysis and heatmaps to understand user behaviour and optimise conversion paths.

4. Retention & Engagement Marketing

  • Implement email, in-app messaging, and lifecycle marketing campaigns to improve retention and activation rates.

  • Analyse churn data and develop win-back strategies to re-engage inactive users.

  • Design personalised marketing automation flows, ensuring new users get the most value from Gendo quickly.

5. Referral & Virality Growth Loops

  • Design and implement a referral programme that encourages architects and designers to invite peers.

  • Leverage user-generated content, reviews, and community engagement to amplify organic reach.

  • Track referral efficiency, adjusting incentives and messaging based on data insights.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and evidenced track record in Growth Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Performance Marketing—preferably in a high growth SaaS or tech startup.

  • Strong understanding of Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies, with experience in optimising self-serve funnels, onboarding flows, and product-driven acquisition and retention tactics.

  • Strong quantitative mindset, with expertise in Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar tools.

  • Hands-on experience managing paid acquisition (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta) and optimising for CAC vs. LTV.

  • Deep knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and growth experimentation frameworks.

  • Strong proficiency in marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Iterable, Customer.io, etc.).

  • Comfortable working with Product Managers and Data Analysts to align growth initiatives with product development.

  • Ability to create compelling, data-driven reports that influence strategy and budget decisions.

  • Creative approach to marketing to a creative customer base

Passion for AI, design, and the future of architecture technology, evidenced in a professional or personal capacity

It would be a bonus for you to have:

  • Prior work in a B2B SaaS company targeting designers, architects, or creative professionals.

  • Experience utilising GenAI platforms such as Midjourney, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion etc.

  • (Extra bonus!) Experience or familiarity with CAD or 3D modelling software (e.g. Blender, 3DS Max)
