Group Reporting Manager

Job Description

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in

established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Join us at IG – the future gets built here

Your Team:

This role sits within Group Finance, a team of global professional accountants and independent thinkers who support the business’s growth through a commitment to the highest standards of financial data accuracy, best-practice governance and controls. The team delivers this by applying deep accounting and financial knowledge to support stakeholders in making better-informed decisions through strategic insight, underpinned by a high standard of professional conduct.

The role reports locally to the Senior Reporting Manager, based in London, within the Group Reporting team.

Your role in the Team's Success:

The Group Reporting Manager plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of IG’s internal and external financial reporting. You will take ownership of the Group’s month-end consolidation and close, manage the interim and year-end reporting processes, and review the work of the wider reporting team ahead of key deadlines.

You will liaise with, and support, all areas of the business that impact the Group’s financial position.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of the month-end close and consolidation process for the Group in HFM, working with local Financial Controllers and the Financial Operations team in line with the month-end timetable.
  • Perform multi-currency consolidation, including the translation and elimination of foreign operations across the Group.
  • Review the work of the wider Group Reporting team — including submissions from Financial Control (Kraków) and colleagues in London — ahead of year-end and throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Manage the Group’s interim (half-year) and year-end reporting processes, including the preparation and review of the Group’s financial statements.
  • Support metadata changes within the consolidation tool and the maintenance of the Group’s chart of accounts, acting as backup to the primary owner.
  • Lead key internal stakeholder management, partnering with the wider business — across an international stakeholder base including Financial Control (Kraków) and regional controllers — on Group financial reporting matters.
  • Prepare the monthly Financial Management Information (FMI) pack, including commentary on the key drivers of performance and position.
  • Prepare the Group’s monthly cash flow analysis, identifying and explaining the key movements and drivers.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Group financial processes, working closely with the Finance Systems team, Financial Control (Kraków) and regional controllers to implement operational changes.
  • Act as financial controller of certain intermediate holding companies, owning their month-end close, statutory reporting and controls.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Support across a wider range of Group Reporting activities and projects as the team’s remit evolves.

What You'll Need:

  • ACA/ACCA or local equivalent professional accounting qualification, with strong post-qualification experience (typically around 4+ years’ PQE).
  • Audit experience, ideally Big 4 trained.
  • Strong multi-currency consolidation experience, including the translation and consolidation of foreign operations.
  • Demonstrable experience owning or running a Group month-end close and consolidation end-to-end — rather than partial or single-entity sub-consolidation.
  • Experience of managing interim (half-year) and year-end reporting processes and financial statements.
  • Hands-on, in-house Group consolidation and reporting experience under IFRS.
  • Experience with a Group consolidation system (HFM, or a direct equivalent such as OneStream or Oracle FCCS).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across a diverse, international range of internal stakeholders, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive into the detail.
  • Confidence to challenge current ways of working and thrive in a dynamic environment subject to regulatory and commercial change.

Desirable

  • 2+ years of experience within a listed group or PE backed environment.
  • Strong interest in the financial markets, particularly CFD and spread betting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

The Perks:

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible Benefits Package on top of your salary (12%)
  • Private medical cover for you and your family
  • Life insurance
  • Contribution to gym memberships
  • 25 Days holiday, with 1 additional day off to celebrate your Birthday & 2 additional days off a year for voluntary work (28 in total)
  • The option to buy or sell holiday days
  • A comprehensive global and local onboarding process
  • Enhanced primary (maternity), secondary (paternity), and shared parental pay and leave, as well as a range of support and benefits for parents
