How to contribute to our vision

You will be responsible for the overall delivery and management of the operational planned activities for the shift team within your area of responsibility. Setting clear direction in the co-ordination of activities with peers to maintain plan alignment for operational success. Achieve Targets in line with operational expectations and measures , utilising support functions, techniques, systems and tools available to mitigate production stoppages, maintain flow and drive overall productivity and efficiency. Ensure appropriate health, safety, and environmental measures are in place to support a robust HSE management framework and positive culture.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Accountable for Activity Performance Indicators/Process Performance Indicators e.g., Safety, Delivery, Quality, People and Cost targets (Shift and hourly).
  • Ensuring the correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and condition
  • Optimum utilization of resources – (Labour management/deployment)
  • Making sure manufacturing guidelines, processes, and procedures are followed to ensure safe delivery of a high-quality product on time
  • Leading and supervising assigned Team Leaders
  • Clear, concise, and effective communications to your team.
  • Responsible for performance management across the team
  • Effective and thorough implementation of the handover processes
  • Ensuring correct Prisma bookings are adhered to with full understanding of routing importance, managing own teams spend budget for workwear and consumables
  • Management of competence across the operational area
  • Ownership of the HR process for all employees within operational area
  • Hold constructive feedback dialogues to ensure right first-time performance is achieved.
  • Operational standards including but not limited to 5S, housekeeping, short interval control and process validation.
  • Managing of takt adherence and line balancing across operational area
  • Ownership for the review of all task related risk assessment within the operational area
  • Accountable for COPQ targets and management of supplier/customer quality gates
  • Ability to work a shift pattern that includes working days, nights and weekends 

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • Candidate having experience as shift manager preferably from wind industry, manufacturing/production background will be preferred
  • Wind industry experience would be ideal however applicants from other industry are welcomed
  • Previous experience managing a team of technician would be an added advantage
  • Good decision-making skills and innovative approach to problem solving is desirable
