Join the Commercial Team at Brighton’s award-winning Hotel of the Year and play a key role in driving revenue, building client relationships, and delivering exceptional event experiences. As a Groups, Conferences & Events Sales Executive, you’ll convert enquiries into business, coordinate successful events, and contribute to the commercial success of one of the UK’s busiest MICE hotels.

Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day

  • Manage group, conference, and event enquiries from initial contact through to contract confirmation.
  • Convert enquiries into bookings while achieving revenue and conversion targets.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts, quotations, and customer records accurately.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including catering, accommodation, AV requirements, room setup, billing, and compliance.
  • Communicate event details to hotel departments through Delphi BEOs to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships and generate repeat business.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Conduct hotel show rounds and represent the hotel professionally.
  • Support departmental sales objectives and overall commercial growth.

  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Confident negotiator with strong objection-handling and closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Proactive, positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in sales, hotel sales, or events.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Hilton systems or hotel sales/property management systems.
  • Experience within the MICE sector.
  • Qualification in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or Events Management.
