Job Description

Life as a Software Engineer is all about creating products using the latest tech. Reporting into a Tech Leader, you'll help to build products for the future and develop important Software Engineering skills.

You may work in teams providing products and services for business clients, or you may work on products used by Experian customers. Regardless of the supportive team you're in, you could work in front-end or back-end development utilising languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, Java, Python or .NET amongst others. You'll also work with cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS, and experiment in new technologies and techniques.

Whilst coding is an important part of being a Software Engineer, you'll also brainstorm and develop solutions with your team, attend planning sessions and work with a variety of people across teams. You may have to translate technical work to non-technical colleagues.

Our Graduate roles are permanent opportunities, and you'll take part in our 2 year structured Early Careers Development Programme which is packed with workshops, short-courses and online material designed to help kick-start your career.

Qualifications

To be eligible to join this Graduate Programme, you'll need:

  • A minimum 2:2 degree classification preferably in a STEM field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics). If you don't have a degree in those fields but can demonstrate an applied interest in technology, then we'd still love to hear from you.
  • To have graduated within the last three years (2023, 2024 or 2025 graduates)
  • Basic proficiency of coding in any language is desirable (eg. Python, C#, Java)
  • Legal right to work in the UK for the full duration of the graduate programme: this role is not capable of visa sponsorship.

Whilst we have adopted a hybrid way of working, you'll work onsite at the Nottingham office at least weekly.

Start Date: September 2025

Starting Salary: £32,000 per annum for Nottingham

For this role we aim to hold online Assessment Centres W/C 10th and 17th March (*Subject to change)
