Role summary

The IT Operations Executive will handle laptop provisioning, new‑joiner IT induction, day‑to‑day IT support, meeting room/event AV support, asset management, knowledge‑base updates for the internal AI chatbot, and cross‑functional coordination. The role includes ISO KRA from India posting.

Key responsibilities

  1. Laptop & Hardware Provisioning

  • Set up and configure laptops for new starters (OS, software, security policies, accounts).

  • Maintain adequate laptop stock; flag to leadership proactively when stock runs low, with lead‑time estimates for reordering.

  • Coordinate with Operations and HR to confirm new starter numbers and start dates, ensuring laptops are ready before Day 1.

  1. New Joiner IT Induction

  • Conduct IT induction sessions for new joiners (laptop handover, login/access setup, key systems walkthrough, security/data policy basics, how to raise a ticket).

  • Ensure new starters are fully IT‑ready and comfortable with tools/systems from Day 1.

  • Coordinate induction timing with HR's onboarding schedule.

  1. IT Support & Ticket Management

  • Act as first point of contact for all laptop and general IT queries (hardware, software, access, connectivity).

  • Check the internal IT ticket system regularly and resolve queries based on priority/urgency.

  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate vendor/provider.

  1. Meeting Room & Event AV Support

  • Set up and troubleshoot Poly X70 (or equivalent conferencing units) for meeting rooms.

  • Handle projector and AV setup/queries for internal events, town halls, and external meetings.

  • Do pre‑event checks for key meetings to avoid last‑minute failures.

  1. Asset Management & Audit Readiness

  • Maintain a master inventory list of all laptops (assigned user, serial number, condition, OS System, location, status — active/spare/retired).

  • Keep the list updated in real time as laptops are issued, returned, or retired.

  • Produce the asset register on demand for internal/external audits.

  1. Knowledge Base & Self‑Service

  • Continuously update and improve the internal AI chatbot's IT knowledge base with FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and resolved ticket learnings.

  • Aim to reduce repetitive ticket volume by improving self‑service content.

  1. Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with HR and Operations on starter/leaver numbers and induction/onboarding timelines.

  • Liaise with leadership on budget/stock needs and equipment forecasting.
