Job Description

Bring your policy expertise to the table - and help shape play-filled futures.

In this role, you will help define and coordinate advocacy across a range of topics connected to the LEGO Group’s value chain, with a particular focus on trade policy, regulation on consumer electronics, intellectual property rights, ESG-related matters, and forward-looking policy signals. You will work across functions and geographies to help the business understand external policy developments, navigate political complexity and support aligned, impactful advocacy. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Leading and coordinating strategic advocacy, planning and execution on Value Chain Policy issues across a broad and evolving agenda 

  • Acting as GPA’s coordinator for advocacy on LEGO SMART Play, helping to develop and shape GPA engagement in the consumer electronics policy space 

  • Supporting the business in understanding and navigating trade policy issues, including export controls, sanctions and anti-dumping developments 

  • Acting as GPA’s point person on ESG-related matters, including reporting tasks, pay transparency, and the like 

  • Coordinating GPA work on intellectual property rights and leading bi-monthly IPR check-ins; ensuring IP-related issues are reflected in the wider GPA policy agenda and advocacy efforts 

  • Supporting foresight-related work through dashboards, horizon scans and impact analysis 

  • Coordinating GPA policy updates and monthly update communications 

  • Leading the GPA-internal Value Chain Policy Working Group, including shaping its future structure and assessing whether sub-groups, such as on IPR and LEGO SMART Play, should continue or evolve; and ensuring strong bridges to related GPA working groups, including on environmental and digital topics 

  • Serving as a key point of contact for internal cross-functional partners, including Tax, Product design, Compliance, Legal, Procurement and Supply Chain Operations 

This position will be based in Copenhagen, Billund or London and relocation support is not offered for this role.

Within GPA, you will join the Policy & Global Engagement team responsible for ensuring strategic and horizontal alignment with wider group priorities. 

Do you have what it takes 

  • Strong policy expertise, sound judgement and the ability to work confidently across a broad stakeholder landscape 

  • Proven experience from a leading consultancy, multinational company, think tank or public sector role 

  • Solid expertise in trade policy and/or the consumer electronics sector 

  • Experience defining, coordinating or supporting advocacy on complex policy topics 

  • Fair understanding of intellectual property rights and brand protection priorities 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across functions, seniorities and subject areas 

  • Ability to lead and motivate peer-based working groups and independently drive progress  

  • Ability to operate independently, while also building alignment and momentum across functions and working groups. 

What would be an advantage 

  • Familiarity with geopolitical foresight tools, including horizon scanning and financial impact analysis 

  • Experience working with ESG-related policy or reporting topics 

  • Experience working with Power BI and AI tools
