The Global Strategic Engagement Director is a senior role within Atlassian's Global Strategic Engagements (GSE) team, a growth accelerator that delivers transformative revenue outcomes with top global customers within Global Sales. The purpose of this role is to accelerate outcomes for large, complex deals and strengthen executive relationships with our customers. They serve as trusted advisors to Global Sales and collaborate with the relevant internal teams to align Atlassian's strategic capabilities and commercial models with customer needs, while ensuring operational excellence at scale. This role also provides triage support for forecasted deals to advance, accelerate, and unblock them.

- Deal Guidance and Leadership: Serve as a key contributor to deal strategy for top accounts, focusing on customers with high revenue potential, major transformations, complex needs, or requiring balance of trade negotiations.

- Deal Acceleration and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with Sales and Finance to unlock multimillion-dollar opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, and deliver measurable business value.
- Program Management & Delivery: Operationalise and deliver essential programs for consistent deal closure and triage processes, coordinating with Sales LT, VOC, and Customer Engagement teams.
- Playbook Development: Create and scale repeatable frameworks and strategies that can be leveraged across regions and industries.
- Customer Success: Partner with Success to ensure smooth handoff and accelerate time-to-value by helping customers adopt and realise ROI from Atlassian solutions.
- Partner Engagement: Collaborate with the partner ecosystem to drive positive outcomes and experiences for customers during the sales cycle where relevant.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the relevant teams from Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Legal in order to accelerate and deliver customer outcomes.
- 15+ years of experience in SaaS or consulting, finance, legal, with a proven track record of managing executive relationships and driving large, complex deals and relationships
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives and boards
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and orchestrating strategic programs across complex organisations
- Strong business acumen and understanding of digital transformation, cloud, AI, and emerging technologies
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience developing and scaling strategic frameworks or playbooks
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive outcomes at scale
