About Global Securities

The Global Securities team at Swift plays a central role in shaping and advancing Swift’s Securities & FX business worldwide. The team brings together deep industry expertise to define strategy, drive innovation, and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of financial institutions and market infrastructures. Working closely with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, the team focuses on strengthening Swift’s position in the global securities ecosystem by enhancing connectivity, improving operational efficiency, and enabling long-term industry transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the definition and ongoing evolution of Swift’s strategic vision for Global Securities. Translate the vision into actionable strategic plans, milestones, and success measures. Drive execution throughout the organization, ensuring alignment between numerous internal stakeholders.

Monitor strategic initiatives, identify risks, and recommend mitigation actions. Acute awareness of market trends, regulatory developments, Swift’s entreprise-wide strategy and community expectations.

Support the Head of Securities & FX Strategy on Capital Markets‑related priorities, requests, and governance engagements. Organise background material, build strawman proposals, and prepare content for executive forums, Board discussions, and industry interactions. Represent Strategy leadership when required.

Maintain deep relationships with ecosystem actors: custodians, buy‑side, sell‑side, FMIs, fintechs and regulatory bodies.

Act as a strategic ambassador for Swift’s Securities and FX work in industry forums, working groups, and conferences. Bring external insights back to influence product and commercial decisions.

Partner with Business Development teams to identify opportunities, customer needs, and market shifts impacting Global Securities. Provide strategic guidance for commercial engagements and value propositions. Support account planning and customer dialogue with structured insights and market narratives.

Ensure cross-functional coordination involving Strategy, Digital Assets, Business Development, Product, Communications and other functions.

Lead change initiatives that strengthen alignment, create structure, and help teams converge on shared long‑term objectives.

Act as an internal consultant helping shape coherent messaging, strategic analysis, and consistent delivery approaches.

Ability and willingness to impactfully represent Swift in Working Groups and industry events. Good at public speaking.

Highly collaborative: collaborative team player who builds strong internal partnerships while operating effectively with a strong degree of autonomy

Structured and organized: able to run multi-stakeholder cadence and keep large groups aligned.

Strategic listener: notices incentives, interests, hesitations; understands how to shape momentum.

Curious and intellectually rigorous: interested in understanding the structural evolution of international capital markets.

What we are looking for

Qualifications

10+ years in strategy, consulting, financial market infrastructure, product/market management, or business development.

Deep understanding of the capital markets industry and post-trade landscape

Proven track record in senior stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and cross‑functional leadership.

Experience operating in a global, complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.

Diplomatic communicator skilled at navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, understanding seniority nuances, and building alignment across differing interests.

Prior experience in strategy, research, market analysis, relationship management, go-to-market or program management
