Job Description

The mission of the Teya Global Mobility team is to enable a seamless employee experience across international borders in addition to ensuring global compliance to tax, social security, payroll, labour laws and immigration.

The Global Mobility Specialist role is aligned to the overall Global Mobility mission, and will focus on supporting a smooth, compliant, and efficient movement of employees across borders. The goal is to facilitate Global Mobility while minimising risks for the company and its employees. You will be responsible for the following:

Immigration Process Management: 

  • Manage global visa applications, renewals, work permits, and immigration applications for employees. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees requiring immigration support, providing guidance and responding to inquiries. 

  • Ensure that visa applications are processed accurately and in a timely manner by liaising with external immigration vendors or government agencies

Compliance and Reporting: 

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations across countries

  • Maintain and update company documentation regarding immigration processes and document retention. 

  • Ensure compliance with right-to-work regulations and keep documentation up to date for audits. 

  • Maintain accurate records of visa applications, renewals, and expiration dates. 

  • Provide regular reports on the status of immigration cases and potential risks or issues. 

  • Ensure that all employee immigration data is documented and securely stored. 

Policy Development and Continuous Improvement: 

  • Assist in developing immigration policies and procedures. 

  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and assess how they affect the company’s mobility program. 

  • Identify opportunities to streamline immigration processes and improve efficiency. 

Training and Education: 

  • Partner with the Global Mobility team to educate employees, and business, on Global Immigration requirements and procedures. 

  • Conduct training sessions on immigration-related topics, such as visa types, work permit eligibility, and country-specific requirements. 

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Global Immigration, preferably within a corporate setting. 

  • Experience managing visa and work permit applications across multiple countries, including handling compliance and documentation requirements. 

  • Strong understanding of Global Immigration laws, visa types, and work permit processes focused on UK, Spain, Czhenia and Europe. 

  • Familiarity with immigration software or case management tools (eg: UK visa sponsorship management system). 

  • Accuracy in managing documentation and compliance records will be crucial. 

  • Ability to explain complex immigration processes clearly and effectively to both employees and management. 

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple cases simultaneously. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the immigration process and provide strategic solutions. 

  • Familiarity with the challenges of relocating employees across borders and sensitivity to diverse cultural needs. 

Optional but Preferred: 

  • Certification in Global Mobility or Immigration Law (e.g., GMS-T® from Worldwide ERC, or similar) is a plus.
