WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The candidate will work directly with the extended Global Football Footwear teams including Development, Design, Engineering, and Product Marketing, in pursuit of product excellence. They will be collaborating with their Footwear Product Testing teammates on prioritized projects to test new innovative footwear. The analyst will work with athletes* to gain a better understanding of their needs and capture their feedback on the models they are testing.  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Footwear Product Testing (FPT) Analyst 2 to join our team in Nike's London Product Testing Hub. This role ensures that our Kids, Men’s, and Women’s Nike Global Football (Soccer) Footwear, fits and performs up to the highest standards in the industry. The candidate will need strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain relationships organically, with both Football clubs and players. The candidate needs to have exceptional planning and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. They will also need to be able to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, and present subjective feedback in a concise and understandable manner. The candidate needs to have prior experience working with Microsoft Office programs, as well as strong verbal, written and proactive communication skills. They will need an entrepreneurial spirit because being in an FPT Hub location (London) is like starting and running your own business.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or minimum 2 additional years' relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

  • 2 years' experience in a professional working environment. Experience in the footwear, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, relationship management, sports, and/or customer service industry is preferred.

  • Passion for Football, and prior experience working with kids, footballers, athletes, coaches, clubs, and teams

  • Understanding of footwear components, materials, and product creation processes is a definite plus

  • Able to physically lift and carry large amounts of testing product.

  • Must have a clean driver’s license as the role will require frequent visits (up to 80% of time) domestically for meeting with athletes and testers.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% per year internationally.

  • Ability to work odd hours when applicable for interacting with athletes/external partners and internal teammates at Nike’s World Headquarters

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role you’ll be managing all aspects of the testing process, including but not limited to; test planning, recruiting testers, conducting tests, analyzing data, report writing, and program/relationship management. You’ll use your understanding of footwear’s manufacturing processes combined with your understanding of the athlete to offer suggestions to the product team regarding materials, components, and construction options to meet the product’s performance goals. You’ll specify the performance issues that need attention prior to production by representing the Voice of the Athlete* and our consumers.

  • You will be testing all types of Football boots.  

  • You will work across Kids, Men’s and Women’s Football.

  • A typical day is a combination of visiting, communicating and interacting with Athlete* testers, collaborating with your Nike WHQ counterparts, attending zoom meetings with your cross functional partners and managing prototype samples.

  • Because we interact where Athletes* live, work and play, at times you will be working away from the London office and outside of traditional working hours.
