Description

Global-e (Nasdaq: GLBE) is the world’s leading platform for global direct-to-consumer e-commerce, enabling brands and retailers to seamlessly sell worldwide, delivering localized experiences across markets.

Trusted by some of the world’s most recognized brands including Adidas, Alo Yoga, Logitech, Hugo Boss, Marc Jacobs, and Victoria’s Secret, we operate on a massive global scale through dynamic teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

Our technology-based end-to-end solution combines advanced localisation capabilities, streamlined global operations and extensive big-data analytics, covering everything merchants need to scale worldwide. We’re a fast-moving, highly collaborative company where innovation, creativity, ownership, and impact are part of everyday work.

We are looking for a Global Director, Sales Development to lead Global-e's Sales Development function across EMEA, North America, and APAC. Managing a team of 15+ BDEs (SDRs) and Team Leaders, this role is responsible for building a predictable, high-quality outbound pipeline and driving the AI-enabled transformation of our outbound motion. As a senior GTM leader, you will partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, and Partnerships, reporting to the VP Revenue Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop Global-e's Sales Development organisation across EMEA, North America, and APAC, directly managing regional Team Leaders
  • Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, organisational change, succession planning, and career development across the function.
  • Manage a structured management cadence across regions: weekly 1:1s with Team Leaders, workshops, and regular team training sessions.
  • Represent Sales Development performance and strategy at company-wide forums, including quarterly SKOs.

Pipeline & Commercial Ownership

  • Own global outbound pipeline and conversion performance, driving quota attainment and improving outbound-to-demo conversion through stronger targeting, qualification, and messaging.
  • Set and continuously refine segmentation and account prioritisation (ICP definition, Low Touch / High Touch / Named Account motions) in partnership with regional sales leadership.
  • Own outbound-to-demo conversion rate improvement through better qualification, targeting, and messaging quality.

AI-Enabled Transformation & Sales Operations

  • Lead the AI Sales Agent programme end-to-end alongside innovation/Rev OPs: prompt optimisation, workflow integration, and team enablement, taking initiatives from planning through to live production use.
  • Own the outbound technology stack: LinkedIn automation, power diallers, sequencing tools, intent data, and job-change triggers, ensuring tooling scales with the team.
  • Maintain CRM lead-flow (HubSpot) end-to-end to support accurate routing, reporting, and hand-off between BDEs and BDMs.
  • Sponsor and scope cross-functional data/tooling workstreams (e.g. contact enrichment, TAM/ICP data quality, campaign infrastructure) with clear ownership from supporting functions (RevOps, external vendors).

Enablement & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Own and continuously evolve the global BDE playbook and centralised sales enablement knowledge base, ensuring consistent messaging, qualification standards, and best-practice adoption across regions.
  • Partner with regional VPs of Sales, RevOps, and Marketing to align account mapping, campaign strategy, and go-to-market execution with regional pipeline priorities.
  • Own BDE-to-BDM handover and demo quality standards, including qualification criteria, documentation, feedback loops, and process improvements that strengthen conversion from qualified opportunity to closed-won pipeline.
Requirements
  • 4+ years in B2B sales development leadership, including direct people management of BDE teams; bonus if across multiple regions or time zones.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a predictable outbound pipeline, with clear ownership of quota attainment and conversion metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with outbound technology stacks: CRM (HubSpot or equivalent), sequencing/automation tools, dialler platforms, and intent/trigger data.
  • Demonstrated experience leading AI-enabled sales transformation initiatives (e.g. AI qualification agents, prompt-driven workflows) from concept to production, not just people management.
  • Strong executive presence – ability to present pipeline performance and strategy at company-wide forums (SKOs, business reviews).
  • Willingness to work across EMEA, North America, and APAC time zones, with occasional travel to global SKOs.
  • Experience in cross-border eCommerce, payments, or SaaS
