Lead the Transformation: Senior Manager, Global Change, Communication & Training for Workday HCM (24 months FTC)
WPP is embarking on a transformative journey to revolutionize our Human Capital Management (HCM) processes with Workday. We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Global Change, Comms & Training to spearhead the change management, communication, and training strategy for this critical initiative. This pivotal role will ensure the successful adoption and deployment of Workday HCM across our global organization, driving business value and minimizing disruption.
As the Senior Manager, you'll be directly accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive change management plan. You'll partner closely with the Global ERP Delivery Lead, Business Deployment Teams, and Process Teams to understand the impact of Workday on our employees and develop targeted interventions to support their transition. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
What you'll be doing:
Drive Global Adoption: Lead Change, Communicate Effectively, and Empower Our People
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global change management, communication, and training strategy for the Workday HCM implementation.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Global ERP Delivery Lead, Business Deployment Teams, and Process Teams, providing expert guidance on change management best practices.
- Ensure alignment of change management activities with overall project goals and timelines.
Change Management Execution:
- Conduct thorough impact assessments to identify key stakeholder groups and understand the impact of Workday on their roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement targeted change management interventions, including stakeholder engagement, communication campaigns, training programs, and support resources.
- Assess business readiness and develop tangible, measurable plans to increase awareness and activation of new ways of working.
- Provide recommendations considering adoption tolerance and pacing to ensure successful program deployment.
- Partner with Process Owners and People Operations leaders to diagnose implementation impacts and develop appropriate methods for intervention to drive adoption.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication campaigns for a variety of stakeholder groups, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely information delivery.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to foster buy-in and support for the Workday implementation.
- Manage communication channels and ensure effective information dissemination.
- Training & Development:
- Oversee the development and delivery of engaging and effective training programs for all Workday users.
- Ensure training materials are tailored to the specific needs of different user groups and are accessible in multiple formats.
- Monitor training effectiveness and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Directly manage one Senior Analyst and indirectly manage 3rd parties and internal communications resources to support change management, communication, and training activities.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Project Management & Reporting:
- Manage a holistic implementation, communications, and training workstream, including reporting on activities, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to the program PMO.
- Monitor progress against key milestones and identify potential risks and issues.
- Develop and implement mitigation plans to address risks and issues.
- Provide regular updates to the Global ERP Delivery Lead and other stakeholders on the progress of the change management, communication, and training activities.
What you'll need:
- Extensive progressive experience building and managing transformation, communications, and training programs for large, global organizations (HR, IT, or related corporate function preferred).
- Several years leading large-scale, complex, cross-functional technology and transformation projects.
- Workday HCM preferred but any ERP HCM/HRIS Cloud experience is essential.
- High degree of cultural awareness and appreciation for diversity.
- Preferred experience in an agency/creative/media environment.
- Proven knowledge of transformation management principles, methodologies, and tools (PROSCI or other certifications preferred).
- Ability to distill complex, technical concepts into digestible communications for understanding and buy-in.
- Organized and self-directed; able to independently conduct and direct others to accomplish multiple activities, adjusting based on organizational changes.
- Excellent active listening skills with the ability to articulate stakeholder positioning in actionable ways.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated mastery of leading and influencing others toward a common vision.
