This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and technically strong qualified accountant to take on a highly visible role within a fast-growing global FinTech organisation. Working at the centre of FNZ's Group Finance function, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality consolidated reporting, supporting complex accounting matters, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.

From acquisitions and impairment assessments to share-based payments and hedge accounting, you'll gain exposure to some of the most technically challenging areas of financial reporting while helping shape the financial governance of a global organisation.

This role offers an excellent platform for an accountant looking to move beyond traditional financial reporting and develop deep expertise in Group reporting, technical accounting, and strategic finance.

The Opportunity

As a Global Accounting Manager, you'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and senior finance leadership, owning critical components of the Group's financial reporting and statutory reporting processes.

You'll support the delivery of robust financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions while providing technical accounting expertise on a range of complex transactions and business activities. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, external auditors, acquisitions activity, and strategic finance projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Group Reporting & Statutory Accounts

  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts across Group entities
  • Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely, and audit ready
  • Producing key analyses supporting Group management reporting
  • Delivering profitability, margin, and performance analysis to support business decision-making
  • Contributing to the continuous enhancement of Group reporting processes and controls

Audit & Governance

  • Playing a leading role in the coordination of the Group external audit process
  • Managing audit deliverables and ensuring high-quality supporting documentation
  • Acting as a key liaison between external auditors and regional finance teams
  • Supporting audit planning, issue resolution, and governance activities
  • Preparing materials and accounting updates for Audit Committee and senior leadership review

Technical Accounting & IFRS Expertise

  • You'll provide technical accounting leadership across a range of complex accounting areas, including:
    • Share-based payment accounting and IFRS 2 compliance
    • Goodwill and intangible asset impairment assessments
    • Business combinations and acquisition accounting

Strategic Finance Projects

  • Partnering with multiple business functions on strategic initiatives
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and investment activity from an accounting perspective
  • Providing technical guidance to stakeholders across the Group
  • Supporting financial analysis and decision-making on key business initiatives
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across the wider Group Finance function

What We're Looking For

You'll be a technically capable and commercially aware finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent)
  • Strong post-qualification experience within audit, technical accounting, Group reporting, or financial reporting
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS and statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Experience working within complex multinational organisations or professional services environments
  • Technical accounting knowledge across areas such as business combinations, impairment, share-based payments, and financial instruments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills

Desirable Experience

  • Financial services, FinTech, banking, or regulated industry experience
  • Experience supporting complex acquisition activity
  • Exposure to hedge accounting and treasury activities
  • Prior involvement in external audit coordination and governance reporting

What You'll Need to Succeed at FNZ

  • Strong technical accounting expertise and professional curiosity
  • The ability to translate complex accounting requirements into practical business solutions
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external auditors
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • The ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong working relationships globally
  • A desire to continuously improve processes and challenge existing ways of working
  • Ambition to develop your career within a high-growth international organisation
