About the role:
We are proud to work in partnership with Medway City Council, delivering high-quality property repairs and maintenance services across the local housing stock. Together, we ensure residents receive prompt, professional repairs with a strong focus on customer care, safety, and value.
We’re now looking for an experienced Glazier to join our growing team, working in a busy repairs environment across residential properties in Gillingham.
Role Responsibilities
- Replacing broken or damaged glass units in windows, doors, and screens
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass safely and accurately
- Carrying out glazing repairs in both occupied and void properties
- Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repair solutions
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Making safe following breakages and emergency call-outs
- Using handheld devices (PDA) to log work and update job status
- Liaising with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
- Supporting other trades and contributing to a positive team environment
Role Criteria
- Proven experience working as a Glazier
- Experience undertaking domestic glazing repairs and replacements
- Competent in measuring glass and confidently ordering materials with suppliers
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements when handling glass
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks
- Full UK driving licence
