Job Description

German Speaking Account Manager - ICIS - London

Based at our Central London offices an opportunity has arisen for someone to join our experienced, award winning and very successful EMEA Energy sales team covering the German speaking markets. Continuous coaching, training and career development are top of the agenda at ICIS. As part of a much larger organization there is certainly no limit to the job opportunities that are on offer to those who show success drive and determination, be they in Strategic Key Accounts or Senior Management. An effective Account Manager communicates well and has good people skills and will be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone and face to face. Ideally, you will be able to speak an additional language, and we are keen to meet those that speak German.

We sell high value data solutions to the Energy and Petrochemical Industry and you will be managing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as selling to new customers. You will be comfortable operating at Director, CEO and Senior Trader level negotiating large revenue deals.

You will need to demonstrate success within previous sales roles but we will train you further and develop your talent. What we do also need to see as well is a passion and drive to both succeed and learn in a fabulous and energetic working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing customer base
  • Manage a sales pipeline of qualified customers for ICIS products and services
  • Demonstrate our products focusing on the customer’s business objectives
  • Deliver client satisfaction and engagement
  • Schedule and attend sales appointments with prospective customers
  • Create personal sales plans

 To be considered for the role you will need the following qualities:

  • Professional proficiency in both English and German (one other European language would be beneficial, but not essential)
  • Commercially minded, sharp and intelligent with a strong motivation to succeed in a high performing sales team
  • Experience in selling data solutions or selling in the Energy Markets though not essential, would be a huge advantage
  • Be prepared for foreign travel
