We’re looking for a Fund Accountant to join our Fund Operations team on a 15 month fixed-term contract in a hybrid role based in London.

The RoleThis role delivers accurate, timely fund accounting and financial reporting for Railpen’s Private Markets investment entities, supported by robust oversight of Operating Partners and Third Party Administrators. Responsibilities include performing the daily NAV review in line with relevant accounting standards and internal procedures, and ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and quality of data within the MSCI investment portfolio management system. This underpins high quality data for internal and external stakeholders and supports both the Investment and Fiduciary functions across Railpen.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The PersonThe successful candidate will be required to have a good understanding of private equity investment accounting. The candidate will bring technical expertise, particularly in private markets, and ideally have experience working within either a fund administrator or asset management environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial reporting and have excellent Excel capability—including pivot tables, lookups and building data‑driven models—to support robust analysis and insight. A qualification in either ICAEW or ACCA would be a distinct advantage, however this isn’t essential.
