About Odin
Odin is building the investment infrastructure for the future of private markets. We believe capital is one of the most powerful tools for shaping the world - and more people should be putting it to work. Our mission is to make it radically easier to raise and deploy capital, so that anyone, anywhere, can back the companies and ideas they believe in.
Our first product is a full-stack platform for launching and running private investment firms - think Shopify for VC and PE. We handle all the infrastructure: from legals and investor onboarding to KYC/AML, payments, tax, reporting, and exits.
We’re already trusted by over 10,000 angels, VCs, and founders. We administer over $500m in assets, covering investments from pre-seed to series E. This includes household names like ElevenLabs, OpenAI, SpaceX, xAI, Anduril, etc. but also new companies creating everything from synthetic brains to small nuclear reactors.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Venture Operations, you will:
Work closely with Product to embed fund logic into the platform, reducing manual work and ensure the software reflects the true mechanics of how funds operate.
Build the operational structure for fund administration from first principles. That includes defining workflows, documentation standards, controls and quality thresholds.
Own fund administration across our UK nominee, English LP, Delaware LP and other fund structures, including capital calls, distributions, fund accounting and ongoing investor reporting, with the goal of automating as much of this work as possible whilst preserving accuracy at all times.
Take responsibility for fund tax & reporting mechanics, owning reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions as our structures expand, whether executed in-house or via external partners. Again, you should be driving as much automation here as possible.
Own our interactions with external auditors on funds.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex fund questions from CFOs, GPs and internal teams. When someone says “I’m not sure what to do here,” you will be the person who can form a view and gives direction.
Ensure integrity across capital accounts, ownership records and fund-level data. When something does not reconcile, you trace root cause, correct it and implement preventative safeguards.
Handle a limited amount of internal operational finance BAU. This is not the focus of the role, but you will ensure it is executed to a high standard, whilst outsourcing as much as possible.
Contribute to complex or high-value operational projects related to fund structures, regulatory requirements or new product expansion, taking ownership from definition through execution.
Who You Are
You are a qualified accountant with strong technical grounding.
You get things done and have an intense bias for action
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience and are comfortable taking full ownership of complex financial processes. Seniority in title is less important than depth of understanding and readiness to operate independently.
You have direct exposure to fund structures or closely related environments. You understand how fund structures, fund accounting, legal documentation and tax flows interact in practice. If parts of this are adjacent rather than direct, you are confident in your ability to close any gaps quickly and independently.
You think in systems. You naturally look for ways to tighten controls, reduce manual risk and improve the integrity of underlying data.
You communicate clearly, particularly when explaining complex financial mechanics to sophisticated stakeholders such as CFOs and fund managers, as well as those with limited experience with fund structures.
You’re precise, logical and calm under pressure. You’re comfortable making technically consequential decisions without constant validation.
You’re motivated by raising standards rather than maintaining the status quo.
Naturally look for opportunities to automate and improve systems.
Operate at a high technical standard and expect the same from the systems around you.
This is a Founding Role
You are joining to build out our fund administration capability from bare bones.
Your primary objective is to build a product and service offering that leads customers to say "we love our fund admin". As you will know, this is a rarity in the industry.
There is minimal inherited infrastructure and no established playbook. You will define how we run capital calls, accounting, distributions, LP allocations and fund tax mechanics properly, and you will execute it yourself in the early stages.
This role requires high agency. You will make technical judgement calls in situations where precedent is limited. There will not be heavy internal validation. The expectation is that you can form a view, defend it and seek external counsel where appropriate.
In the early months, the work will be hands-on and execution-heavy. Over time, your focus should shift toward systematising and embedding fund logic into software, so that scale does not introduce fragility.
If you have worked in fund accounting and felt the systems, controls and underlying logic could be stronger, much more automated and built from first principles, this role will resonate.
