Why you will love this opportunity as FP&A Senior Manager at Civica

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how financial modelling, analytics and performance insights support strategic decision-making across Civica. You’ll translate complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations for the CFO, Executive team and senior business leaders, helping the organisation understand performance, evaluate opportunities and plan for sustainable growth.

You’ll also have the opportunity to establish best practice across financial modelling, strengthen forecasting and analytical processes, and build capability across the wider Finance function.

What you will do to be successful in this role

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and maintenance of integrated financial models for forecasting, long-range planning, investment appraisal, resource allocation and scenario analysis.
  • Develop driver-based analysis across revenue, ARR, retention, margin, cash, productivity and operational KPIs to identify risks, opportunities and underlying performance drivers.
  • Translate complex financial analysis into clear performance narratives, options and recommendations for the CFO, Executive team and senior business leaders.
  • Own financial modelling standards, controls, documentation and quality assurance, ensuring models are transparent, scalable, auditable and suitable for senior decision-making.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and analytical processes through automation, standardisation, data visualisation and effective use of planning and BI tools.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance, Accounting, Data and operational teams to align financial and non-financial information and provide a consistent view of business performance.
  • Provide independent review and constructive challenge of forecasts, assumptions, business plans and investment cases.
  • Support scenario modelling in response to strategic questions, changing trading conditions and emerging business risks.
  • Coach analysts and finance colleagues in financial modelling, analytics and insight generation, promoting best practice across the wider Finance function.
  • Support M&A evaluation, post-acquisition performance tracking, integration activity and value-creation analysis when required

Requirements
  • Significant FP&A experience, including ownership of complex forecasting, scenario planning and long-range planning.
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience building integrated, driver-based models and interpreting complex datasets.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial planning, data visualisation or BI tools to improve forecasting and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow and commercial value drivers, ideally gained within a software, SaaS or recurring-revenue business.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for CFO, Executive and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, Power BI, SQL, Power Query or Python would be beneficial but is not essential.
