Commercial Finance & Analytics Manager 

Salary: £59,300 - £66,000

We're looking for a Commercial Finance & Analytics Manager to join our Global FP&A team in London, reporting to our Global FP&A Lead. You'll turn raw data into the commercial insight that shapes decisions at every level. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable writing SQL as they are presenting to a General Manager, and who wants to work at the intersection of finance, data and commercial strategy across a global, fast-growing business. 

Our work spans three pillars: recurring analysis; project analysis; and ad hoc analysis. You'll be hands-on across all three, with analysis at the core of the role — using automated, self-serve reporting as the foundation, to focus on what really matters: understanding why, and recommending what we should do next. 

What you will be doing 

• Own the data pipeline from Databricks through to finance outputs - structuring, validating and maintaining the data layer the Group relies on 

• Build and maintain dashboards that give General Managers a self-serve, auto-refreshed view of their key commercial metrics, reducing reliance on manual reporting 

• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract and combine data across customer, billing, product and channel sources - joining datasets that don't naturally sit together 

• Proactively identify trends, anomalies and commercial insights - bringing the insight to the conversation, not just the numbers 

• Produce high-quality financial analysis and business partnering, from board-level papers to ad hoc requests from General Managers  

• Partner with business leads across the Group to run regular budgeting cycles, using Anaplan as the planning tool, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the Group delivers its long-term financial goals  

• Contribute to a strong financial framework for assessing strategic investments 

• Support the build-out of FP&A capability by leading on data and analytics best practice across the wider Finance team, and identifying opportunities to automate recurring processes 

Skills we'd love you to have

• Commercial curiosity - you want to know what the numbers mean for the business, not just what they are 

• A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, comfortable taking a broad steer and building processes from the ground up 

• Proactive, resourceful, and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing business 

• Strong, hands-on SQL skills - comfortable independently joining multiple data sources and working directly with large datasets (Databricks experience a plus) 

• Experience building dashboards for non-finance audiences, with a focus on automation and self-serve 

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for non-finance stakeholders 

• Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, with experience building driver-based, scenario and sensitivity models 

• Experience with Anaplan is desirable but not essential 

• A relevant accounting qualification is desirable but not essential
