Datadog is the essential monitoring and security platform for cloud applications. We bring together end-to-end traces, metrics, and logs to make your applications, infrastructure, and third-party services entirely observable. These capabilities help businesses secure their systems, avoid downtime, and ensure customers are getting the best user experience.

Datadog's Finance team collaborates with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to scale rapidly and efficiently.

This is an opportunity to help support our go-to-market (GTM) departments, including customer success and Sales as a part of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. Supporting a Manager of GTM FP&A, you would be responsible for the budgeting and forecasting for some or all of these departments. You will partner closely with our strategy team to understand past customer and sales performance, and influence the company’s go-forward strategy. You will help connect the business, strategy, and finance cohesively together.

At Datadog, we place value on our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Finance support to go-to-market (GTM) teams which could include Customer Success (CS) and Sales
  • Support annual planning for headcount, T&E, and discretionary spending for GTM
  • Meet regularly with the departments to understand budget vs. actual tracking and calibration
  • Build and maintain bookings forecasts and pipeline analyses for renewals and expansion, and flag risks and upside to leadership
  • Analyze CS performance, including ARR, net and gross revenue retention, churn, expansion attainment, CSM productivity, and book-of-business coverage
  • Partner with the Strategy team to ensure alignment of metrics and reporting
  • Be a strategic contributor (in partnership with Strategy) on decisions around CS account coverage models, account segmentation, compensation planning (and resulting expenses), and other strategic decisions
  • Work as a part of the broader FP&A team to understand the company’s financials, analytics, and help the organization scale thoughtfully

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in FP&A / Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, and/or other related field
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
  • You are a clear, concise communicator and team player with a humble mindset and ‘can-do’ attitude

Bonus Points:

  • Solid understanding of Pigment is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model
  • Proficiency in use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude)

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSU) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
