Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team in a broad, hands-on Financial Reporting Manager role. With exposure across financial reporting, management accounts, balance sheet control and team leadership, the role offers real breadth, visibility and development potential.

Sitting at the heart of the finance team, you will combine core reporting and control responsibilities with the opportunity to contribute more widely across the function. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, delivering robust reporting, practical insight and supporting continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities:

  • Deliver accurate, timely and high-quality financial reporting and monthly management accounts that support business decision-making
  • Take ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities, ensuring strong control, accuracy and timely delivery
  • Manage, coach and develop two Assistant Accountants, building a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Strengthen the financial control framework, identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Provide meaningful financial analysis and build strong stakeholder relationships to add value across the wider business

This role is well suited to someone looking to strengthen their technical grounding while building broader commercial exposure, whether already in industry or making a first move from practice.

Qualifications

  • Studying or Qualified Accountant / first time mover
  • Proven track record operating within a complex, fast-paced business environment
  • To manage the accounts transactional team
  • Experience supporting and influencing cash management and working capital optimisation
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconcilations
  • Ability to interpret P&L, balance sheet and cash flow data and information to highlight opportunities and minimise risk
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively to meet changing priorities and demands
  • Ability to influence and strategically partner
  • Strong Excel skills
