About the team / Role

As Financial Operations Analyst you will ensure all reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner across all currencies and entities. The successful applicant will also work closely with the Head of Financial Operations and have the ability to deputise as needed, so as to ensure other financial operational processes, including deposit matching; FOA debtor tracking, customer funding pulls, customer refunds and platform manual adjustments, along with all related policies, processes and daily reconciliations are performed accurately and in a timely manner across all currencies and entities. This is a fundamental role within the finance department as part of the Financial Operations team.

How you’ll make an impact
- Responsible for the production of the reconciliation that reconciles payment platform to bank account across all currencies
- Oversee production of daily validations for payment platform reconciliation
- Responsible for the daily customer funding validation process, ensuring that all funding trackers are completed on time and any funding issues are escalated in a timely manner
- Maintain oversight of any, bank charges, rebates, unmatched deposits, refunds, manual adjustments and negative customer balances, to ensure any issues are highlighted, rectified and escalated in a timely manner
- Calculate and reconcile the weekly FX funding solution ensuring payments are made on time and any funds due are received
- Analyse, investigate and resolve historical differences within the reconciliation spreadsheet
- Review customer funding as appropriate, highlighting any variances that occur
- Evaluate and provide feedback on the existing processes
- Any other ad hoc duties as and when required
Experience you’ll bring
- Finance graduate
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA part qualified or similar financial qualification
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Relevant experience in reconciling financial data
- Strong problem-solving capability with solid logical and structured approach
- Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong research competencies, persevering mindset, ability to balance depth vs. speed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across many organisational levels
- Strong business acumen
- Be able to work both individually and as part of a winder Finance team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to articulate clearly. Also, with the conviction, energy, ambition and enthusiasm to grow and innovate in the fastest of fast-moving organisations
- Ability to effectively support the Head of Financial Operations to develop and progress the Financial Operations team
