Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Management and Reporting Accountant to join our finance team on a 6-month contract, providing additional support during a period of change. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who embraces challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Financial Management and Reporting Manager, you will play an integral role in delivering key management information and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a track record of producing high-quality management information for a range of stakeholders across the business.

We are seeking a technically strong individual who can build effective relationships and communicate confidently both within the team and across the wider organisation.

Key focus areas of your role will be

  • Responsible for the preparation of key internal reporting requirements, including supporting the Business review and Cost Centre reporting process, Cashflow forecasting and Treasury reporting.
  • Calculation and preparation of key accounting adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, revenue, and tax adjustments
  • Maintenance of fixed assets register
  • Maintenance of complex financial modelling, with opportunities to develop and create new models
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop strong working relationships with the business
  • Assist with ad hoc project work as required by the business

Qualification, Skills, and Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 1 years PQE
  • Experience of reporting within a large company or plc environment desirable
  • Good understanding of IFRS frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Logical mindset; able to solve problems with an ‘eye for detail’
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise information effectively
  • Organisation and time management skills with ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
