We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation as it begins a multi-year financial crime transformation programme, centred on implementing Fenergo as its client lifecycle management platform.

This is a delivery leadership role. You will own the financial crime implementation workstream, responsible for planning, governing and landing change across KYC, onboarding, periodic review and screening. You will also make sure the Fenergo platform is embedded successfully across the business.

The work is delivery-led. You will manage a team of analysts and subject matter experts, coordinate with the vendor, systems integrators and internal technology teams, and manage dependencies across the wider programme. Because the programme is regulatory-driven, delivery needs to stay aligned to policy and regulatory expectations throughout, and to stand up to scrutiny from compliance, audit and senior governance forums.

The role suits an experienced project manager or workstream lead from a financial crime or CLM transformation background. You should pair delivery discipline with the presence to lead steering committees and influence senior stakeholders. This is an initial 6-month engagement, with a strong likelihood of extension to two years as the programme progresses. It is based in London, with three days per week on site, and is expected to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the financial crime implementation workstream, including planning, scope, budget and RAID management.
  • Oversee the implementation of Fenergo, working closely with the vendor, systems integrators and internal technology teams.
  • Drive the design and rollout of target operating model changes across KYC, onboarding, periodic review and screening.
  • Manage dependencies across the wider transformation programme, including the data, migration and integration workstreams.
  • Lead and develop a team of business analysts, subject matter experts and delivery resources.
  • Run workstream governance and give clear, concise reporting to steering committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Keep delivery aligned to regulatory obligations, internal policy and audit expectations.
  • Oversee testing, business readiness and implementation planning so the transition into BAU is controlled.

Requirements
  • Significant experience leading financial crime, KYC or client lifecycle management change programmes in financial services.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering a Fenergo implementation, ideally in a leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of the AML and KYC regulatory landscape, including the UK Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG guidance and FCA expectations.
  • A proven ability to manage complex workstreams with multiple dependencies, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and developing delivery teams.
  • The credibility to present to, and influence, senior stakeholders and steering committees.
  • A strong command of programme governance, financial management and risk management.
  • A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP or an Agile equivalent) is an advantage.

Benefits

Length: Initial 6-month contract, with likely extension to two years
Salary: £90,000–£120,000, dependent on experience
