We have grown significantly in the UK & Ireland over the past few years, both through strong organic growth opportunities, and also through M&A activity.

This role will look after our Fund / Asset Management, Fund Admin and Corporate & Loan Servicing businesses in Ireland, alongside supporting with some of our UK businesses.

You will act as the finance business partner and point contact for this portfolio of Companies, as well as taking ownership for the financial reporting and forecasting. This will also include management of our financial operations staff based in Manila, Philippines. 

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with a hands-on, can-do attitude. The role will play a pivotal role in several significant projects and ad-hoc work including migrating finance systems, assisting with forecasting for future expansion plans, and considering implications of / facilitating a legal entity consolidation. All of this on top of continuous improvement of our reporting and business as usual processes.

Responsibilities

  • Point contact for day to day queries for finance matters in relation to the Irish entities, whether these are external or internal
  • Preparation and control of monthly management information
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and management of the year end audit process
  • Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax, and any other local tax returns
  • Preparation of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory returns
  • Preparation and presentation of quarterly board reporting, and other Ad-Hoc reporting as needed
  • Leading with budgeting and forecasting for this portfolio of companies, working closely with the FP&A Analyst
  • Line management and development of financial operations staff supporting the Irish entities
  • Identifying opportunities for and driving process improvement and efficiencies across all finance activities
  • Liaising and building effective relationships with various stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Assisting and taking the lead of various projects work as and where required.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or Equivalent) with some post qualified experience in industry
  • Strong grasp and understanding of financial controls and best practice, with previous experience in external audit / practice
  • Experience and understanding of the Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements or other regulatory experience would be highly desirable
  • Capable of working to meet tight deadline deliverables, and able to be flexible to prioritise multiple tasks and deliverables at one time
  • Strong excel skills, with financial modelling experience being a plus
  • Ability to summarise findings and conclusions in a succinct and professional manner, tailored to senior management and board level audience
  • Experience of migrating financial systems would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the wider team
  • Supervisory experience
  • Understanding of multi-currency, working in a global environment.
