We're scaling fast across markets and currencies, and we're looking for a Book keeper / Account Assistant to be the operational backbone of our finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll own the integrity of the numbers, keep the close tight, and build the controls and processes that let us scale.

  • Manage multi-currency accounting across the UK, US and EU
  • Oversee AP, AR, payment runs, billing accuracy and credit control against collection targets
  • Own VAT returns, statutory filings and payroll; ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Improve and automate finance systems and processes as we grow

About You

  • Part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • 2–4 years' experience, including time in a commercial/industry finance role post-practice
  • Strong technical accounting and a controls-led mindset, with proven ownership of month-end close and statutory reporting
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar)
  • Confident with Excel and Google Workspace (G-Suite) — Sheets, Docs, Drive
  • Fluent with Claude and similar AI tools — you reach for them to speed up analysis, drafting and process automation
  • Experience in a digital agency, professional services, ecommerce, DTC or high-growth scale-up
  • Hands-on, pragmatic and happy to own your workload in a fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment
  • Confident communicator who can explain finance clearly to non-finance stakeholders

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your workload
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Desirable

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a digital agency, ecommerce or startup environment
  • Exposure to multi-currency accounting
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
