Would you like to play a key role in UK Finance, helping deliver accurate and insightful reporting for a market-leading business? As a Financial Accounting Manager at Intrum, you’ll join our UK Financial Control team and support the integrity and effectiveness of our financial reporting.
This role is ideal if you enjoy combining technical accounting expertise with reporting, supporting senior Finance leaders, and ensuring month-end, statutory, and board-level reporting is clear, accurate, and timely.
We offer a flexible hybrid working approach, giving you the chance to balance time between our Manchester office and home.
What you will do
Prepare and review monthly, and annual financial statements ensuring IFRS compliance
Oversee Statutory accounts preparation, liaising with external Audit team to ensure queries are answered promptly
Manage the month end close process and timetable ensuring accurate and timely reporting for group consolidation
Ensure Balance sheet accuracy through up-to-date reconciliation’s
Tax Reporting including VAT returns and reconciliations
Drive process efficiencies in the team to improve month end close timelines, accuracy and controls in the finance function
Manage the assistant accountants to ensure tasks are appropriately delegated ensuring their development
Involvement in ad-hoc projects impacting the finance function
Devoted to the FCA principle of Consumer Duty, by ensuring we are driving good customer outcomes across all aspects of services that have potential to impact our customers.
What we’re looking for
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience in audit or financial services, with a clear understanding of financial control and reporting for a listed entity subsidiary.
Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end processes.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and develop further.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Fluent in English, highly detail-oriented, and confident communicating at all levels of the business.
