The Role:

    Legend is hiring a Financial Accountant, reporting to our Senior Financial Reporting Manager in St Helier, Jersey.
    The Financial Reporting team sits at the heart of our global Finance function, ensuring the business has accurate, reliable financial information while continually improving how we report, analyse and use data.
    As a Financial Accountant, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality financial reporting while helping the team become more efficient through better processes, automation and data analysis.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant who enjoys solving problems, working with data and finding smarter ways of doing things. You'll gain exposure across financial reporting, business performance and process improvement within a fast-growing, multinational listed business.

Your Impact:

  • Support the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and working papers.
  • Analyse financial information to identify trends, investigate variances and highlight potential risks or opportunities.
  • Work across the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow to improve reporting quality and financial insight.
  • Build, improve and automate reporting processes using Excel and other data tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with Finance Operations, FP&A and wider Finance teams to improve the quality and consistency of financial information.
  • Use data to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting.
  • Support audit and governance activities throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Contribute to projects that help Finance scale as the business continues to grow.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
  • Experience gained in practice or industry within a finance or accounting environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and investigate issues.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, logical structures and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience using Power Query, Alteryx or similar data tools would be highly advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in improving processes, automating manual tasks and making reporting more efficient.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across Finance and explain financial information clearly.
  • Curious, proactive and motivated by continuous improvement.

The Interview Process:

    1. Interview with the Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
    2. 1 hour zoom Interview with the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and People Partner.
    3. Final interview with the Head of Financial Reporting and the Financial Controller (1 hour via Zoom).
