Our Mission

We’re fixing the most broken process in business. Whether it’s SaaS, hardware, or contractors, a typical B2B purchase drags on for 3+ months, spawns 50+ emails, and pulls in multiple stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Security, and IT. Nobody likes it, and it slows businesses down.

Omnea exists to change that. Our AI-native platform connects the people, steps, and systems so buying just works. Employees have one place to make requests, the right approvals run automatically, renewals and supplier risk checks are handled on time, and leaders get clear visibility into how, when, and why money is being spent.

This matters more now than ever: volatile markets demand capital efficiency, businesses who adopt AI quickly have a competitive advantage, and evolving regulation demands evidenceable controls—so buying has to be fast and compliant by default.

Founded in 2022, we’re trusted by global enterprises including Spotify, Adecco Group, Albertsons, Wise, MongoDB, and Monzo. Our team previously built Tessian (backed by Sequoia; acquired by Proofpoint) and we’ve raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Accel, Point Nine, and First Round.

Overview

We’re looking for an exceptional Finance Manager to join Omnea’s team to support all aspects of our financial planning and controls and support our rapid scale!

Reporting to our CFO Sabrina, you'll be a trusted right-hand and work across all aspects of finance, from closing the books, to running forward the forecast, navigating audits and billing,, to helping business partner with the teams. As the first member of Finance at Omnea* you'll have a broad scope and a wide remit to drive financial outcomes for our business as we quickly grow and scale to multiple markets!

This is an evolving role, and whether you're coming from another startup or straight out of a accountancy practice, you'll get to have an outsized impact at Omnea, and it's a perfect role for someone who believes that finance functions should help businesses run faster, not slower.

You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time. We’ve just raised $50M in Series B funding from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, Accel, Point Nine, and First Round Capital. In the past year we’ve grown revenue 5x, tripled our customer base, and maintained >99% retention with enterprises like Spotify, Wise, Albertsons, Adecco, and McAfee. Our team is small but high-calibre -- it took over 10,000 interviews to hire our first 50 Omneans.

Now we’re scaling fast and building the category of AI Supplier Relationship Management. We've spent the past 24 months building & deploying our platform to many of the greatest tech companies out there (Lookout, McAfee, Onfido, Typeform, Proofpoint, etc.), all whilst managing to stay lean & operate efficiently.

We’re ready to scale, and looking for someone great as we work to make Omnea one of Europe’s leading tech businesses: come build with us!

Please note! We are hiring a Finance Manager or a Financial Controller, not both!

*A few folks have finance-y titles on Linkedin, but only our CFO Sabrina is actually 'doing finance' today, with the support of an operations generalist

What you can expect

You’ll do whatever it takes to make sure Omnea can continue to operate at pace. You'll;

  • Do the accounting and close the books for our UK and US entities (we do not use outsourced parties for this);

  • Handle VAT and Sales Tax matters, and work with Cooper Parry for our annual accounts, audit, and corporation tax filings in the UK, and with CLA to do the same for our US entity;

  • Take care of our in-house business as usual processes, working with our Ops juniors to process payroll and payables, and bill and collect from our customers;

  • Build out our automation stack, and work with our revops team to automate things like our billing processes;

  • Once ramped & running on the controller/accounting side of the house, work with our CFO on scenario modelling and forecasting, and prepare inputs for Board and Investor reporting

  • Help refine and iterate our transfer pricing and intercompany mechanisms

  • Help monitor and steer the metrics that roll up into our financial story, and work with teams to help us navigate towards our desired outcomes

About you

We are looking for someone with the right mindset & a broad skillset to take on this challenge!

  • You'll be a qualified management accountant or accountant with relevant training from a top company, and ideally prior experience in VC-backed SaaS. Note: we're open to hiring this role at multiple different levels of seniority - if you're more experienced than this, please still apply!

  • You're highly commercial, and believe the goal is to get the best outcome for the company, not the cleanest slate of work for the finance team!

  • You're smart and can wear many hats, zooming into the details of the accounting and up again into the bigger picture for forecasts and fundraising - a master of juggling lots of things at once.

  • You're willing to be very hands on - we don't outsource, so you're happy to do the bookkeeping and billing as well as the board pack! The job is whatever it takes to get the job done!

  • You're excited to automate and learn, build, and implement new tools that keep us running effective, efficient, and lean.

  • You have a good knowledge of VC-backed companies and SaaS (extra bonus: sales-led enterprise SaaS), and a good sense of 'how the sausage gets made' in companies like ours.

  • You have a good knowledge of the ins and outs of UK & US companies and the myriad little nuances that this set up involves (we are UK top-co, US subsidiary)

  • You're excited and able to operate at pace and in ambiguity, with good judgement and clever instincts, and can operate across competing and changing priorities

  • You work hard & care lots about your work. You care deeply about the work you do, and having a reputation for competence and excellence, and put in the time and dedication to get to that outcome.

  • You’re an outstanding communicator; verbal, and written, you are able to be clear & concise in ensuring everyone knows what they need to.

At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out.

A few things to note:
  • We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time, and you can read more about why we believe this is a winning move here

  • We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive. You can see our values here

  • We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background).

We are proud to be recognised for both our culture and product, and we are just getting started. Join us as we grow!

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
