JOB TITLE: Finance Manager, Digital Payment Transformation

LOCATION(S): Bristol, Halifax or Leeds

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

An opportunity to play a key role in shaping the finance delivery for our Digital Payments transformation, supporting one of the Group’s most exciting growth areas.

We’re an innovative and fast‑changing organisation, and this role gives you the chance to be part of a team helping Retail’s Consumer Relationships business transform for the future. You’ll join our CR Analytics team, supporting the integration and ongoing finance requirements of our newly acquired Digital Payments business Curve.

As part of the Consumer Relationships Finance team, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, the Integration Programme, and the wider business to support the successful delivery of core financial activities. You’ll help ensure key finance requirements are met, provide clear financial insight, and contribute to establishing strong financial governance as the new Digital Payments capability embeds.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, with opportunities to grow your skills in business partnering, commercial analysis, governance and cross‑functional delivery.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Support Finance readiness activities for the integration of our new Digital Payments business Curve into LBG.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure all key finance requirements are well defined and met as part of the programme of work, this includes establishing a strong framework of finance governance and controls

  • Support and challenge the Integration Programme to deliver its goals and key objectives, including identifying and delivering synergies

  • Collaborating across teams to prepare regular forecasts for the new Digital Payments business including group-level quarterly forecast and 4 Year Operating Plans and monthly latest views, taking into account strategic developments and updated business case assumptions

  • Support the direction, content and insight of financial and commercial performance of the new Digital Payments Business

  • Interpret and present management, ensuring that insight, results, and issues are well understood and explained in a way that is relevant

  • Work collaboratively across Finance and the Integration Programme.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and solve problems proactively.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make the complex simple

  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills including good judgement

  • A proactive approach to learning and development.

  • A commitment to being onsite at least two days a week.
