We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our ApotheCom team. 

ApotheCom is an exciting leader in the field of medical communications. Drawn together from several backgrounds including the pharmaceutical industry, research, marketing, medical and regulatory writing, sales, publishing, digital media and design, we have the experience and all-round ability to conceive and deliver the best quality medical communications programmes. 

About the role 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage monthly accounting close for financial reporting, for 6 entities with flash revenue reporting and final reporting in accordance with agreed deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare management reporting packs to specified timeframes.
  • Provide commentary against budget, latest forecast and prior year, including identifying and setting up reporting for KPIs.
  • Support preparation & maintenance of rolling forecasts of the P&L, ensuring changing business needs and activities are captured.
  • Responsible for correct accounting of costs and maintaining control of consolidated balance sheet.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecast (both direct, and indirect).
  • Work with external accountants and internal subject matter experts to complete statutory and tax reporting for geographies as required.
  • Prepare reports as required by the Inizio Group including tax, treasury and accounting queries.
  • Review overhead expense accounts, preparing month end journal entries for accruals and mis postings and preparing correction journals where necessary.
  • Line management of 1 Finance team member. 

About you: 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified with 2 years PQE. 
  • Previous experience of managing the month end process including flash reporting, preparation of management reporting packs and providing commentary against budget.
  • Previous experience with intercompany accounting.
  • Strong teamworking skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to work.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with advanced experience in Excel (including experience with pivot tables and Power Query).
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with accounting software, experience with Maconomy or Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Previous line management experience is desirable.
  • Keen attention to detail expertise, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritise work to set timelines.
