About the role:
The role reports to the Junior Financial Controller and is responsible for day-to-day accounting, month end processes and reporting requirements as we continue to grow. Ideally, we are looking for a fully qualified accountant with 3 years PQE to undertake the duties outlined below.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assistance in the completion of monthly management accounts including ownership of some key areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Processing month end journals including COS, accruals, leases and overheads
- Ownership of key reconciliations including cash, intangibles and VAT
- Providing detailed commentary, variance analysis and insight to key stakeholders
- Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT return including partial exemption calculation
- Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts and audit completion
- Partner with the business to understand new product offerings and assess accounting and finance implications
- Line management of the Financial Accountant
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support the Junior Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks as required
What we’re looking for...
- Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant with ideally 3 years PQE
- Have strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Netsuite experience is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of SQL/Looker is desirable but not essential
- Ability to check for accuracy with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Great team player working within the Finance function
- Ability to quickly build relationships
- Willingness to learn new skills and be part of an exciting journey ahead
