At Peak21, we specialize in acquiring large direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands across the United States, Europe, and Asia, in addition to incubating our own. We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our central team and manage the finance function of a consumer brand we recently acquired acting as de facto CFO of the company.. 

The position is full-time in London

What You'll Do

  • Portfolio Management: 
    • You will take the lead in managing the finance function a portfolio company, including but not limited to:
      • Develop robust financial reporting systems to track KPIs, forecasts, and variances. 
      • Develop internal and external financial reporting for management team and investors
    • You will manage company cashflows at Group level, running the budget and the Planning & Control function, 
    • You will work with accounting partners to set up month end close processes and execute on closing the books
    • You will liaise with our lending partners
    • You will collaborate with multiple teams and project manage growth initiatives / process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • M&A: 
    • You will take the first pass at screening new deals and present them to the management
    • You lead the diligence process (legal, financial, commercial) of the companies we buy, being the point of contact for the technical advisors (e.g., accounting firm, lawyers)

Who You Are

  • You have at least 3 years of experience with a strong consulting, finance or audit background. E-commerce or startup experience is a strong plus
  • You have expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
  • You are fully fluent in English
  • You have exceptional people skills
  • You know accounting very well and can make coffee with Excel
  • You have great analytical skills and are very organized
  • You have an understanding of how financial systems work and are structured
  • You have a strong interest in direct-to-consumer brands and e-commerce
  • You enjoy structuring processes and see yourself as a builder
  • You have managed people before
  • You are very hungry to learn and keen to get your hands dirty
  • You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • You are a self-starter, strong communicator very organized and with good analytical skills
  • You can work in London (no need for visa sponsor)
