Finance Manager

Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to become the finance lead for a fast-growing startup being built within a major gaming studio.

PuzzlePlay is scaling rapidly, expanding into new markets and growing its user base and portfolio. As the dedicated finance lead, you'll have significant ownership and visibility across the entire business — from core accounting and treasury through to FP&A, international expansion, product launches and strategic projects.

You'll work directly with the PuzzlePlay leadership and product teams, while partnering with Group Finance, Tax and Legal. You'll have the autonomy and pace of a startup, backed by the expertise and infrastructure of a larger gaming group.

Most importantly, you'll be building the finance function as the business grows and tailoring it to the needs of both you and the key stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Own the Finance Function: 

• Lead month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and intercompany accounting
• Manage treasury, FX exposure and payment provider relationships
• Oversee reward liabilities, settlement cycles and cash flow
• Build and maintain finance controls around fraud, abuse and user payouts

Support Growth:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Build financial models around PuzzlePlay's unique economics and user dynamics
• Partner with Product on the financial implications of new features and mechanics
• Support entry into new territories, including tax, payments, regulatory and compliance requirements
• Work with Legal, KYC/Compliance and external advisors as the business expands

Lead Strategic Projects:

• Support intercompany recharge arrangements
• Develop PuzzlePlay's finance systems, processes and controls as it moves towards a standalone infrastructure
• Own statutory reporting and audit as the business reaches scale

About You

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 1–2 years PQE, who wants real ownership and exposure to a growing business.

You'll be:

• Commercially minded, with strong technical accounting fundamentals
• Adaptable to working autonomously in a fast-moving environment
• Confident building processes where they don't yet exist
• Comfortable working across finance, product, operations and senior leadership
• Keen to develop experience across financial modelling, payments, multi-currency and international operations
