Finance Manager - Procurement (m/f/x)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to work within procurement finance  supporting two major production material categories: PolyChem (Polymers & Chemicals) and PLCFP (Paper Liner Cloth Fibers & Packaging). This is a high impact role supporting $3.6B of spend at 3M.  You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. 

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Driving the PolyChem and PLCFP finance operational rhythm (Strategic, Operating, quarterly, monthly, weekly), assuring alignment and process standardization in financial aspects.

  • Supporting weekly & monthly financial management processes, reviews, and reporting.

  • Connecting operational actions to financial planning to drive accountability & execution.

  • Leveraging analytical tools, risk analysis approaches, data analytics and statistical assessment to enhance understanding of financial performance and outlook for procurement net savings.

  • Supporting budgeting and spending analysis processes for PolyChem and PLCFP cost centers worldwide.

  • Collaborating with procurement category leaders, corporate FP&A and D&A teams to improve processes and analytical approaches.

  • Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance

  • Significant finance experience within a business or procurement environment.

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • MBA or degree in Finance from an accredited institution, with strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work across competing deadlines, and lead effectively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to connect business, financial, and economic data and translate it into meaningful insights.

  • Proven problem-solving capability, with experience driving change and working collaboratively across functional teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Longview and Power BI is preferred.

Job specifics:

  • Location Information - position located in the UK at the Bracknell office.

  • This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at Bracknell.

  • Travel expectations- May include up to 5% Domestic/International

  • Relocation: Not authorized

  • Working pattern - full time
