We are recruiting for a Global Cost, Finance Manager to join our  team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the Aviva Investors Finance team focused on global cost management. This role would suit a qualified accountant who has a passion for cost control and providing insights to help drive the business forward.

A bit about the role:

The global cost team are responsible for the reporting, analysis and challenge of the Aviva Investors cost base (staff & non-staff cost). . The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of our monthly cost numbers including incentives with a focus on both the P&L and Balance sheet. The role involves an understanding of drivers behind cost forecasts and identifying emerging risks and opportunities. Another key part of the role is driving continuous improvement in our Finance processes and realising efficiencies. The candidate will work closely with our Finance offshore team, and other Finance and Business stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience supporting the month‑end close, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate global Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting.

  • Experience working with, and providing effective oversight of, offshore finance teams, ensuring all accrual and balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled, supported, and reviewed, alongside the development of KPI reporting to monitor progress, quality and timeliness.

  • Proven experience working with overseas and cross‑border operations, including analysis and interpretation of international financial data flows and dependencies.

  • Strong experience preparing management information (MI) and financial reports, presenting complex financial data clearly and concisely, with appropriate analytical commentary to support decision‑making.

  • Experience calculating, reconciling and supporting global incentive arrangements, including Bonus Deferral Plans and Long‑Term Incentive Plans (LTIPs).
