The Finance Controller will oversee financial transactions and compliance within the EMEA region, manage financial closing processes, ensure accurate reporting, lead statutory audits, enhance accounting processes, and mentor a finance team for special projects and analysis.

Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join the fast-growing Centric Software family. In this role, you will oversee financial transactions reports, and ensure compliance with local accounting regulations within the EMEA region, including UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, etc. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, international partners, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with local requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries (e.g. payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, vendor accruals, etc.), and account reconciliations for EMEA region.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of month-end financial statements under IFRS, reporting packages, and flux analysis for assigned entities.
- Lead statutory audits for EMEA entities, ensuring timely preparation of all necessary documentation and reports, the company’s internal controls are effective, all statutory financial reports are filed with relevant regulatory as required by law within the prescribed timelines.
- Collaborate with teams and partners to implement best practices and enhance GL accounting and reporting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, systems, and controls for better operational efficiency and precision.
- Support the global finance team with regional reporting and analysis as needed.
- Lead and mentor EMEA team for special financial projects, analysis, ad-hoc tasks, process improvements, and automation in support of corporate strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a high-growth, dynamic environment and regional/multi-country financial leadership; must demonstrate proficiency in IFRS, experience in multi-currency/location consolidations.
- Leadership: A minimum of 5 years of experience managing teams, with a strong focus on talent development, collaboration, and driving results.
- Regional Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local accounting and compliance requirements within the EMEA region.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite, Coupa preferred), along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
