 The Role

This is a hands-on Finance Controller position will largely be responsible for supporting our VP of Finance and CFO, with running the day to day finance function and strategic decision making. You will work closely with the VP of Finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial governance, supporting with payroll, financial modelling and continuous process improvement across the finance function.

This role would suit someone who has worked within a medium to large corporate finance function as with Senior Finance Manager of Finance Controller, and is comfortable bringing best practice, controls and reporting into a fast-growing business.  This person must be a self-starter, enjoy working at fast pace and prepared to embrace the challenges of a fast-growing team.

Experience using Sage Intacct is highly desirable.


Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Supporting the VP of Finance and CFO in the day to day management of the Finance function
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial models.
  • Deliver meaningful financial reporting and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Support annual audits and statutory accounts.
  • Help manage the wider Finance team and their workload
  • Support with Global Payroll
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax requirements.
  • Develop and improve financial controls, policies and processes.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Manage VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
  • Work closely with department heads to improve budgeting and cost control.
  • Support international entities as the business continues to expand.
  • Drive automation and efficiency within finance systems and processes.
  • Assist with acquisitions, integrations and other strategic finance projects where required.

Essential Skills
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • 5+ years experience within Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager roles.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience managing audits and statutory reporting.
  • Experience with automation and process improvements
  • Strong commercial awareness and business partnering skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience improving finance processes and controls.

Desirable Skills
  • Sage Intacct experience.
  • Experience working within a medium to large corporate or multinational preferably experiencing fast growth.
  • Experience within IT services, technology, MSP, SaaS or professional services.
  • Experience supporting multiple international entities.
