Job Description

We’re looking for a Change Management Specialist to join our growing team, with a strong focus on Finance transformation initiatives. This role is based in London and sits within the People Programmes, Experience and Analytics team, partnering closely with Finance and other key functions to support delivery of critical change programmes.

This role will play a key part in driving successful adoption of large-scale Finance initiatives, including Source-to-Pay (S2P) transformation, SOX compliance enhancements, and other high-impact Finance change programmes. You’ll help ensure that these initiatives land effectively across the organisation by focusing on people, processes, and behavioural change.

We aim to apply the same principles that guide our external products - transparent, convenient, fast, and eventually free - to our internal “people and finance products.” This role is instrumental in making that happen by embedding strong change management practices into Finance transformation.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. Instead, it’s for someone who thrives in complex environments, can partner across Finance and operational teams, and is motivated by delivering meaningful, compliant, and scalable change.

In this role, you’ll contribute by:

  • Leading change management for major Finance initiatives, including Source-to-Pay (S2P) implementations, SOX-related control enhancements, and other Finance system and process changes with global impact.

  • Partnering closely with Finance, Procurement, Risk & Compliance, and Tech teams to assess change impacts, define stakeholder strategies, and drive adoption of new processes, systems, and controls.

  • Embedding change management into Finance programmes by ensuring regulatory, audit, and compliance considerations (e.g. SOX) are reflected in change planning, communications, and training approaches.

  • Developing and driving a Finance Change Portfolio view, by defining the approach and ways of working to provide increased visibility of change and better manage the collective impact of change across the Finance teams. Included in this effort will be developing and owning a “Change Roadmap” for the Finance initiatives.

  • Providing change advisory support to smaller Finance initiatives by offering frameworks, tools, and guidance to ensure consistent and effective change practices.

  • Driving adoption and behavioural change by designing targeted communications, training, and engagement strategies tailored to Finance stakeholders, including leadership, operational teams, and control owners.

  • Building change capability within Finance teams by creating practical toolkits, delivering training, and coaching stakeholders to embed change management into their ways of working.

  • Supporting planning and prioritisation of Finance initiatives with a change lens, ensuring impacts are understood early and programmes are sequenced effectively to reduce risk and disruption.

  • Building strong cross-functional partnerships across Finance teams to enable collaboration, delivery and success on projects.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Work on high-impact Finance programmes that are critical to Wise’s scalability, compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Shape how change management is embedded within Finance at Wise, influencing both strategic programmes and day-to-day operations. You will be an integral part of the team’s evolution and have lots of opportunity to both learn from others in the team and contribute to how we work as a team.

  • Develop as part of a growing, cross-functional team, working at the intersection of People, Finance, Procurement, Tech and others.

  • Be part of our mission to make Money Without Borders the new normal.

Qualifications

About you:

  • You have demonstrable experience leading change management within Finance transformation programmes, ideally including Source-to-Pay (S2P), ERP, or financial systems implementations.

  • You have experience working in regulated environments, with exposure to SOX, audit, or financial controls frameworks, and understand the importance of embedding compliant behaviours.

  • You’re hands-on - you actively lead and execute change management activities on complex programmes, from impact assessments through to adoption and reinforcement.

  • You’re adaptable - you can apply change management methodologies (e.g. PROSCI, APMG, ACMP) pragmatically within Finance and compliance-driven environments.

  • You’re an excellent communicator and facilitator - able to engage Finance stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to senior leadership, translating complex change into clear, actionable messaging.

  • You can influence and challenge - you’re comfortable working with senior Finance, Risk, and Product stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure successful outcomes.

  • You can upskill others - you bring others along the journey by building capability within Finance teams and making change management practical and accessible.

  • You have a collaborative mindset and think globally - you’re experienced working across functions, geographies, and disciplines.

Additional Information

Some extra skills and experience that would be great:

  • Experience with Source-to-Pay (S2P) transformation, procurement processes, or supplier lifecycle management.

  • Experience supporting SOX implementations or remediation programmes, including controls adoption and audit readiness.

  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) or Finance tooling transformations.

  • Experience in a high-growth, product-led or tech environment.

  • Experience with Change Portfolio Management, particularly in environments with multiple concurrent transformation initiatives.
