The Financial/Business Controller, based in Casablanca, owns the P&L and Balance Sheet for operations in Morocco and Tunisia. This role ensures accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with KONE Accounting Standards and local regulations, including all statutory filings.

As a key financial expert, the Controller provides insights on performance to finance and business leaders, factoring in local regulatory constraints and opportunities for strategic decisions. They serve as the main contact for Finance Operations and auditors, lead the unit’s contribution to KONE’s global controlling community, and ensure global processes and strong internal controls are implemented, supported by continuous improvement.

What you will do

  • Ensure timely preparation of legal entity financial reports in line with KONE Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.
  • Review and approve key reconciliations, journal entries, and IFRS-to-local GAAP bridges.
  • Oversee statutory and tax reporting, annual dividend distribution, and manage audits according to global schedules.
  • Coordinate with Finance Operations, KONE Business Services (KBS), and GPOs to execute month-end closing tasks.
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of legal entity and business unit results in the consolidation system (CPM Beacon).
  • Forecast statutory income statements and balance sheets, bridging business forecasts with legal entity views.
  • Organize and lead financial performance and balance sheet reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Provide actionable insights on financial performance, trends, and variances to business leaders.
  • Participate in business meetings to build understanding and offer accounting expertise.
  • Execute finance-specific internal control activities and ensure compliance with global frameworks.
  • Act as the first point of contact for local finance authorities and regulators.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration
  • Drive the implementation of global finance processes and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Treasury to ensure liquidity and approve payment proposals in line with policy.
  • Maintain documentation for local processes, IFRS-to-local GAAP differences, and retained earnings reconciliations.
  • Support mergers & acquisitions activities, ensuring smooth integration into KONE reporting processes.
  • Advise on FX exposure and hedge accounting impacts for projects.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • May lead a team of finance professionals, fostering strong collaboration and continuous improvement.

Are you the one

  • A bachelor’s in finance and CIMA Level Certification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the following: Finance/Business Controlling, business analysis & budgeting for business performance.
  • Responsible for a strategic company with a strong focus on business partnering and advising the leadership team.
  • Understanding of the business logic and dependencies between key operational processes, relationships, and metrics.
  • Support the planning and forecasting processes by providing financial parameters to be utilized in sales and cost planning and forecasting by the business (e.g., inflation rate, foreign exchange rates, increases in wages and salaries, costs for corporate materials, milestone lead times).
  • Experience in Matrix Organizations.
  • Excellent understanding of various CRM tools, including SAP.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, diligent, organized self-starter with an orientation towards a high level of customer service.
  • Strong English Communication skills and attention to detail.
