About the role

Due to internal progression, we have an extremely exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join the Global Marketing Finance team.  

The Finance Analyst reports into the Finance Manager for Global Marketing and is expected to be a key contributor for any financial metrics associated to Global Marketing. Your outputs will be used by various budget holders and finance stakeholders across the business. 

As a Finance Analyst, Global Marketing you will

  • Maintain OPEX and CAPEX trackers and assist with month end, budget and forecasting. Working closely with Creative Agency, PR, Brand Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Store Design, Product Development, Global Pro and Education teams for inputs.  
  • Attend monthly tracker review meetings with the Finance Manager and cost centre budget holders to ensure expenditure is being recognised accurately. 
  • Travel & Entertainment monthly reconciliation. 
  • Validate month end journal postings to ensure accuracy in Global Marketing accounts. 
  • Collaborate with the Share Services Centre to support timely and accurate month-end postings 
  • Provide month end commentary of actuals vs forecast to Group Finance  
  • Identify, and communicate Risks and Opportunities to forecast. 
  • Approve PO’s and enforce PO policy; provide training to new starters and ensure teams are adhering to the policy. 
  • Ad hoc analysis to support the Global Marketing Finance team.   

Who you will work with

  • You will report into the Finance Manager, Global Marketing, and work closely with other members of the finance team including the Finance Director, and peers in similar roles across other regions

About you

  • Advanced excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Sum If, Indirect etc).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, having the confidence to communicate clearly with commercial teams
  • Comfortable dealing with a cross section of stakeholders, both finance and non-finance
  • Ability to think logically and methodically
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Flexible & proactive, with an eagerness to learn
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
  • Studying or interest in studying CIMA/ACCA or similar
