Position Summary

Tech Consulting sits within the European Display Office at Samsung. The role of the team is to provide technical excellence to our Europeans colleagues and customers. As a team, Tech Consulting brings new products to market and supports European teams with any new technology providing assistance and training. The team is made up of system consultants, mechanical designers and engineers and together provide 360 technical services around sales, installation, commissioning and development of products.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Reviewing and inspecting installed Samsung displays (LED, Video Wall, Smart Signage)

  • Work with SIs and End Customer with the goal to get acceptance protocols signed

  • Support the SIs to conduct corrective works on site to achieve maximum customer satisfaction

  • Use calibration tools for LED and LCD displays efficiently

  • Trouble shooting after the installation

  • Analysing failures and product issues after an installation, preparing reports for local CS and HQ CS teams who will finally support the customer

  • Communicate with local CS teams product planning in HQ about issues and support the solution finding process

What we need for this role!

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Applicants for this role are professionals (5+ years of experience with Digital Signage / LED Signage) with a proven record of success in the AV industry.

  • Application engineering experience in the AV industry, especially LED Displays

  • Customer Service experience in a similar role, but different industry

  • Project management competencies gained during AV projects, ideally display roll-outs

  • Deep understanding of the challenges of installations of Outdoor and Indoor displays in different environments and installation scenarios such as building facades, public spaces or passenger terminals

  • Engineering skills in the field of electrical design or mechanical design are an advantage

  • Conceptual understanding for ventilation needs for Displays in Outdoor environments

  • Advanced understanding of LED Display control systems and calibration methods

  • Experience in technical customer service roles

  • Great communication skills allowing you to participate and host technical meetings with customer and Samsung system integrators

  • Worked successfully in different countries across Europe

  • The ability to work with a limited amount of supervision

  • Willingness to travel in Europe on a regular basis, 70% travel time

The interview process

  • It will be a four step interview process, first with a recruiter, 2nd with the department & HQ, 3rd   with the department leadership, 4th potentially with HQ

  • The first meeting will be with Paul Maloney and Carlos Verez

  • Where appropriate we may request a technical task or presentation to help us assess ability

  • Further we will include the European Customer Service Organization (ECSO) in the process
